“I don’t expect you—”

I sucked his long, thick cock deep into my mouth as deep as I could. I wasn’t ready for everything, not yet, but I wanted to give him this. I could do this for him. I wanted to, badly.

Bram barked out a curse, his hips lifting.

I had no idea what I was doing, I just knew I wanted to make him feel as good as he’d made me feel. I wanted to know his taste. I wanted to know everything. He was too long to take all of him, so I stroked the base the way I had at the lookout, while I sucked and licked the rest.

His fingers thrust into my hair and the sounds that came from him made me hot and bothered all over again.

I sucked him harder, faster, over and over again.

He hissed through clenched teeth. “I can’t…I can’t hold back, baby. I can’t…” His cock pulsed in my hand a moment before his come flooded my mouth. He called out my name, fisting my hair, his hips thrusting and twisting beneath me.

I swallowed him down, and kept sucking him until he was done. When I released his cock, he loosened his grip on my hair and brushed it away from my face, before tilting my head back. His gaze was full of a dark possessiveness I’d never seen before. I loved it.

He swiped his thumb over my swollen lips. “Maggie,” he rasped.

That’s all he said, all he needed to say. It was all there in my name. I was his, and he was mine, no matter what.

He pulled me in for a gentle kiss and I wanted to curl up in his lap and stay there forever, but I couldn’t, the scars on my body wouldn’t let me have that.

A thump came from outside the tree house, followed by a bang on the door. I lifted my head, my stomach sinking because I instantly knew who it was and what it meant.

Bram cursed as he stood, and helped me up. He tugged down my shirt and wrapped the blanket on the back of the couch around my shoulders.

Tucking himself back in his jeans and doing them up, Bram strode to the door, that he’d thankfully started locking, and opened it.

Rook stood there, his expression almost violent, but then that was how he always looked. “You’re needed,” he said and didn’t elaborate, he didn’t need to.

“No one else can handle it?” Bram asked.

Rook shook his head.

“Payne and Talon?”

“Another hunt,” he said and ducked back out.

Bram’s jaw tightened.

“Go.” I hadn’t missed how aggressive Bram had become the last few days. He needed this.

The muscles and tendons in his forearms bunched. “You sure?” he asked, and I could see the conflict in his eyes.

I curled my fingers around his. “You’ll be back as soon as you can, and I’ll be careful.”

“You’ll call Ash?”

“I will.”

Bram closed the space between us. “I’ll be as quick as I can.”

“I know.” I dropped the blanket when Bram gripped either side of my shirt at my waist. Holding the fabric tight, he pulled me close without actually touching my skin, then leaned in and kissed me. I could taste myself on his lips.

“I don’t wanna leave you,” he said against my mouth, a growl in his voice.

“You’ll be back before we know it.”

He held my shirt more firmly, the fabric tightening around my waist, almost having the same effect as a hug, before he released me and stepped back. The lack of contact was killing me, and I could see Bram was struggling as badly as I was without it. We’d gotten each other off, and it was amazing, but what would have made it even better? Lying in his arms afterwards. We both still needed more.
