He grabbed her arm, not letting her escape, and held the stone out. The surface rippled, and he muttered several words in a language she didn’t understand—

A picture appeared on the stone’s surface. The bar where she used to work, where she’d met Rocco the first time.

She sucked in a breath.

“You recognize this place?”

She didn’t answer, couldn’t.

Taren chuckled and moved to stand behind her, his arms outstretched and bracketing her body, his biceps resting on her shoulders. “Let’s see where he is.” He turned then, in a slow circle, forcing her to do the same, and the image moved with him, showing her around the room, like they were standing in the bar and turning, not in Diemos’s chambers—

Oh god.

Her legs almost gave out.

Rocco.

Tall and handsome and so incredibly strong. The blue mohawk, the piercings, all those tattoos, there was no mistaking him for anyone else. Her hand lifted all on its own, like she could reach out and touch him—

A woman walked up, moving in close beside him, and Rocco wrapped an arm around her.

No. She didn’t want to see this, but Taren wouldn’t let her pull away.

Rocco smiled at the woman. Oh god, Kyler knew that smile. He’d looked at her that way. Pain filled her, slicing right through her as he cupped the other woman’s face and leaned in—

She tried to turn away.

“Watch,” Taren bit out.

Rocco kissed the female deeply, hungrily, then picked her up. He grabbed her butt, and she wrapped her legs around his waist.

“I don’t want to see anymore.” Kyler tried to look away again, tears stinging her eyes, but Taren kept the stone in front of her with one hand and fisted her hair with the other, forcing her to watch.

“If you close your eyes, I will sew them open,” he said against her ear roughly.

She did as he said because he wasn’t bluffing. The image blurred and then they weren’t in the bar anymore; they were in the alley beside it, and Rocco was shoving the other woman’s dress up, while she undid his jeans.

“Please, don’t make me watch this…”

Taren tightened his grip on her hair. “You will watch right until the end,” he said and rubbed up against her. He was hard, and Kyler couldn’t get away. Nausea curled in her belly. “We’re just getting to the good bit. I’ve always wondered if the knights were two pump chumps…or if they can make a female scream. You feel like sharing, Kyler?”

Kyler watched as Rocco pushed inside another female, as he started thrusting into her hard and fast, and her mouth grew dry, her heart shriveling in her chest. This isn’t real. It’s a trick. This isn’t happening.

The bastard forcing her to watch, chuckled. “Ouch, she’s gonna have brick burn the way he’s pounding her.”

The woman threw back her head and screamed, and Rocco moved faster, then caught her mouth, kissing her hard as he shuddered against her.

Kyler bit back a sob ruthlessly and waited.

Taren dragged his nose up the side of her face. “Looked like fun.”

She said nothing.

Barking out a laugh, he finally released her, and she rushed away, fleeing to the far side of the room, breathing hard, trying desperately to hold it together.

Diemos’s lackey watched her, black eyes intense, tilting his head to the side, then he laughed again. “Don’t tell me you thought he actually cared about you?”

Again, Kyler said nothing.
