“I think we’re going to be extremely sore tonight, but it’s worth it.”
They joined Ty and Hope under the pavilion, and the four of them gazed out at the scenic view of the snowcapped mountains.
“Absolutely gorgeous,” Ty said.
“My butt hurts,” Hope complained, rubbing her behind with both hands.
“Are you going to take some pictures?” Eden asked Cole.
“Of course, but not just of the scenery. I want some of the four of us.”
“You don’t like taking pictures of people,” she teasingly reminded him.
“I don’t like taking pictures of just any people,” he corrected. “This is different.”
She smiled widely and went and stood beside Hope. She slipped her arm around her sister’s waist, and pointed out at the vista, and he quickly snapped a few photos. Ty was standing a short distance away, leaning against the wood railing. Instead of admiring the scenery, he was staring at Hope. Cole lifted the camera and captured a few shots of his brother, who was none the wiser.
After attending to the horses, Emily joined them. “Would you like me to take some pictures of the four of you?”
“That would be great,” Cole answered for them. They lined up against the railing and faced Emily with the mountains at their backs. He slid his arm around Eden’s waist and tugged her closer. Apparently, Ty tried to do the same to Hope.
“Keep your hands to yourself,” she muttered, loud enough that they all heard.
Once they were settled, Emily took a few pictures.
“Can you take some of the two of us?” Cole asked, motioning to Eden.
“Of course,” Emily said.
Ty and Hope moved aside while Emily snapped a few photos. “How about the two sisters together?” she said.
Eden and Hope eagerly agreed.
Afterward, Eden said, “Now the two brothers.”
“Do we have to?” Ty asked.
“Get over here,” Cole demanded.
Ty stood beside him, their shoulders barely touching, but in the last photo, Ty had Cole in a bear hug.
“Anything else before we head back?” Emily asked.
Ty turned to Hope. “How about one of the two of us?”
Cole expected her to reject him outright, but to his surprise, she didn’t.
“I suppose,” Hope said. “But don’t get all handsy.”
Ty didn’t speak, seemingly afraid to jinx his good fortune. He stood next to Hope, close but not touching, while Emily snapped a couple of shots.
Watching them, Cole thought they looked good together. Finally, Emily handed over his camera. “We need to get going,” she said and moved off to the horses.
The four of them slowly followed, wincing with every step.
“This is going to be a hot tub night for sure,” Ty commented.
“Count me in,” Cole said.
