“Like you said, you can work anywhere.”

“Right.”

“I want you to meet my parents,” he said solemnly.

“I’d like that, and I want you to meet mine, too.”

“Now that Ty’s here, maybe we’ll all go to Denver and visit my dad.”

“Sounds good.”

“Like my dad said, anything’s doable if you really want it.”

“You’re doable,” she teased, trailing a finger down the middle of his chest.

He grinned and pulled her over on top of him.

Their bodies melded together, and she got lost in him once again.

Twenty-Six

The week that Ty and Hope were there was a whirlwind of activity. The foursome spent their days sightseeing, hiking, dining, and bonding. At night, they went off to their separate cabins, where Cole got to have Eden all to himself.

On Ty and Hope’s second to last day in Estes Park, they decided to go horseback riding. Well, the three of them did, but Hope, who was less outdoorsy than Eden, wasn’t as enthused.

The four of them stood outside a paddock, eyeing the horses milling around within. They were waiting for a guide to finish up with another group before it was their turn to ride.

“These horses are huge. They never look this big from the road,” Hope said.

Ty snickered. “Wait until you get up on one.”

“Not helping,” Cole scolded him.

“Maybe I should wait here while you three go,” Hope said.

Eden turned to her. “You have to come. The view will be spectacular from up there.” She pointed to the mountain that rose up behind the ranch.

“If you’re scared, you can ride with me. I’ll keep you safe,” Ty proclaimed.

Hope scowled at him. “Just because you fight fires doesn’t mean you can prevent us from falling off a horse.”

“She has a point,” Cole said. Hope’s feisty personality amused him, especially when it was aimed at Ty.

“Just make sure you tell the guide you’re an inexperienced rider, so they’ll give you a gentle horse,” Ty suggested.

Eden patted Hope’s arm. “Don’t worry. We’ll be right beside you.”

Finally, the guide approached them. “Hello. My name is Emily and I’ll be your guide today. Let’s start by telling me your names and riding experience.” She pointed at Cole, who was standing nearest her.

“My name is Cole, and I have a lot of riding experience. My brother and I grew up in Arizona and we rode quite often.”

“Great. Next,” Emily said, looking at Eden.

“I’m Eden, and I have very little experience. The last time I rode, I was in high school, so it’s been a while.”

Emily nodded and looked at Ty. “Your turn.”

“I’m Ty, and like my brother said, I’m very experienced.” He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, and Hope glared at him. Cole sighed, and Eden suppressed a laugh.
