“He’s coming to my place.”
“When are you two going to stop traveling back and forth and make it official?”
Stacy smiled. “Soon, I hope.”
“Me too. You deserve to be with someone who makes you happy.”
“So do you.”
“I wasn’t talking about me.”
“I know, but I meant it.”
Averting her gaze, Jenna said, “I’m beat. It’s time for you to go home to lover boy.”
Stacy laughed. “Wait until he hears about our book club pick.”
They were both laughing as Stacy sailed out the door.
After locking the door behind her, Jenna leaned against it and sighed. What a night! Jenna wasn’t sure which had been more shocking, Karen’s book pick or her make-out session with Beck.
She closed her eyes and envisioned his lips on hers, his warm, hard body pressed tightly against her. There was no contest. Kissing Beck was the real shocker of the evening and hotter than any romance book she’d ever read, which was why she couldn’t allow it to happen again. She’d let him steal her kisses, but she’d learned her lesson, and she wouldn’t let him steal her heart.
