I guess it isn’t that late. The worst thing that could happen was she’d fall asleep during the movie, but even younger people did that, right?

“Sure,” she said.

They went into the living room, and she sat on the couch while he opened the cabinet under the TV. He had quite the collection of DVDs, and she was pleasantly surprised she wasn’t the only one who still owned them. Jenna had tried convincing her to give up her collection of DVDs and music CDs, but she’d refused.

“I have some classics like: Jaws, Rocky, Star Wars, and Grease.”

“Grease?”

“Don’t laugh. I like a good musical now and then.”

She laughed anyway. “What else do you have?”

“I have some action-adventure films: Die Hard, Batman, Terminator.”

“Any other genre?”

“Like what?”

“Romantic comedies?”

He raised his brows. “There’s romance in some of these. Think about what Bruce Willis goes through to save his wife in Die Hard. If that’s not romantic, I don’t know what is.”

She chuckled. “Good point, but I vote for Grease.”

“Grease, it is.” He popped the DVD into the player and joined her on the couch, casually slinging his arm over her shoulders. She nestled her head on his chest and settled in. Soon she became swept up in the story, music, and dancing as if she hadn’t seen the film a dozen times before.

Nick’s eyes were glued to the screen too; however, his hands were constantly in motion. He alternated between rubbing her shoulder, twirling her hair around his finger, and massaging her neck. The movements were soft and subtle, so he might not have been aware he was doing it, but she certainly was!

When Rizzo belted out “There Are Worse Things I Could Do,” Stacy was thinking the same thing. And when Sandy crooned “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” she was nestling even closer to Nick. By the time Danny and Sandy were proclaiming “You’re The One That I Want,” she was ready to drag Nick to the bedroom.

Thinking that might be a bit too aggressive, she straddled his lap instead.

His hands immediately slid up the back of her T-shirt, and he splayed his warm palms on her skin. She threaded her hands in his thick hair and massaged his scalp.

Who knew a musical from the 1970s would have had such an effect on her?

She dipped her head down and kissed him, feeling proud of herself for taking the initiative. She hadn’t always done that, and it felt exhilarating. When he moaned against her lips, she felt justified in her decision. She also felt his heat and hardness nestled between her thighs.

“I couldn’t wait for the movie to end,” he said, his breathing ragged.

“I thought you liked it.”

“I do, but it was hard to concentrate with you sitting next to me.”

“It was hard for me, too, with you constantly touching me.”

He grinned. “I wondered if you noticed.”

“Noticed? It was driving me crazy.”

“But in a good way, right?”

She nodded and then claimed his lips again. He continued to caress her back, and she wriggled her pelvis against him. While their tongues tangled, he released the clasp of her bra and moved his hands around to the front.

She was amazed at how natural this felt, being intimate with him, especially after her long dry spell. Maybe this really was more than just sex, and that was why it felt so right.

She moaned as he switched from kneading her full breasts to plucking her nipples, sending ripples of desire straight to her core. Her center felt damp and needy as she continued to rub against him, enjoying the friction between them.
