“Nope, but Molly and I made lemonade this afternoon.”

He chuckled. “Lemonade, it is.”

She poured two glasses, aware that he was watching her every move. If it were Bryce, she would have been nervous, but she assumed Seb looked at all women this way.

“Here you go,” she said, handing him a glass.

“Mind if I sit down?”

“Not at all.”

She figured he’d sit at the kitchen counter, but instead, he went into the living room. She hesitated for a second and then followed him.

He sat on the couch, crossed an ankle over his knee, and patted the space beside him. “Take a load off.”

She eyed the chair across from him.

“I don’t bite. I promise,” he said, looking amused.

She sat on the opposite end of the couch and took a long sip of lemonade, thinking that both brothers were trouble.

“So, tell me about Chloe.”

“What would you like to know?”

“Anything. My brother hasn’t said much.”

Interesting. “Well, um…I’m a dance instructor.” She purposely left out the fact that she’d recently lost her job, which was why she was there.

“Cool.”

“I’m teaching Molly ballet. She’s getting pretty good at it.”

He raised his brows. “Do you teach adults too?”

“I have, but I prefer teaching kids. What about you? What do you do?” Besides ride a motorcycle and look hot?

“I’m in construction.”

“I could see that.” Oops. Didn’t mean to say that aloud.

He chuckled. “Not quite as refined as a dentist, huh?”

She shook her head. “I didn’t mean it that way. You just look like…”

“I don’t mind getting dirty? You’d be right.”

He wiggled his eyebrows, and she laughed. In her experience, someone who flirted this outrageously was usually harmless. It was the quiet ones you had to watch out for.

“I’m quite a bit different than my brother.”

“Noted.”

“So, what do you do when you’re not taking care of Molly?”

“Well, my best friend, Elle, lives a few miles away, and I usually hang out with her and her husband. This weekend, they’re busy, though.”

“Oh yeah? Well, you’re in luck. I’m having some people over tonight to play cards. You’re welcome to join us.”
