“That sounds more ominous than romantic,” I mutter.

“You were my first,” Asher says. “And you’ll be my last.”

He was my first, and I didn’t think once about anyone else but the two of them. I had hopes for us, and now I can fully lean into them without feeling like my chest will crack open.

I was his first, just like he was mine, along with Elijah.

I nod. “I like the sound of that.”

Elijah catches my chin, forcing me to look at him. “I love you, Eden. Don’t ever doubt our feelings for you, and know that if anyone crosses you, they’ll face our wrath. We won’t show them any mercy.”

“It’s nice to see the side of you two that differs from the name everyone knows you by.”

“Merciless Twins,” Elijah says with a grin. “How ironic that it took you to turn our worlds upside down.” He kisses me. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

And neither would I.

EPILOGUE - EDEN

I bite my bottom lip and watch as the claw descends for the bat plushie.

“It’s not the right angle,” Asher whispers in my ear. He strokes my swollen belly from behind—a habit he’s done ever since I learned I was pregnant.

Turns out he and Elijah knew I was with child long before I did. I’m still salty about it, but I can’t be mad at them for it. This was their plan, since they never used protection and I never felt compelled to get on birth control.

“Agreed.” Elijah plays with a lock of my hair that I curled earlier for our wedding.

“It’s not as easy as you’re making it out to be,” I say with a huff.

The claw misses and retracts to the top.

The guys hum at the same time.

I glare at them and step back into Asher. “If it’s so easy, then you do it.”

“Gladly.” Elijah pushes a token into the machine and moves the claw over the plushie.

“I swear if you get it, I’m going to divorce you,” I grumble.

Asher guffaws and squeezes my belly.

“Not even married for an hour and you’re already threatening us with divorce.” He lowers his voice so only I can hear him. “We’ve already consummated the marriage, baby. You can’t run from us now.”

My face warms with a blush, and I elbow him. He snickers and hugs me against him, his hands still covering my stomach.

“And you’re having our children.” Elijah glances at me before turning his focus on the game. “You can run, birdie, but you won’t get far.”

“We’ll just tie you up again and keep you in our room,” Asher says with a chuckle.

“Okay, that’s enough.” I elbow him again, harder this time.

The claw descends, and it grabs the plushie. My heart sinks, then lightens when the claw releases the plushie last second.

Elijah frowns and shoves another token into the game, then tries again. We watch with bated breath as the claw descends, misses, and rises.

Elijah shoves another token into the game.

I smirk. “See, it’s not just me.”
