“Good, now bring Xiomara next Thursday and I’ll make you some caldo as we celebrate Day of the Dead,” she said, cupping my cheek.

She did the sign of the cross, whispering something that made me a little nervous. I might not have gotten the chancla, but I hoped she didn’t send me home with crabs or something.

“Abuela, please tell me you aren’t making me go bald or something,” I chuckled nervously.

“I can’t do that,” she said, leaving the car with a mischievous grin. “Tell Ezra I give my blessing. Treat her right and I won’t make you go bald or something worse like dying in your sleep. Adios!”

She blew a kiss at me like what she had just said wouldn’t make it worse. I shook my head, wondering if her and Xiomara could just hex everyone before we had to kill them for extra torture. I was realizing I didn’t hate Climax as much as I thought I had and making old ladies jealous sounded right up my alley.

I drove back to Xiomara’s apartment when I noticed Ezra parked in the spot I was just in. I felt a little guilty I had shut him out, but Abuela was right. Ezra was our glue and if I wanted this to work, I needed to admit I had feelings for Ezra, and he was more than just a sub.

The street was quiet as I parked, walking to his car and opening the passenger door. We sat in silence as we watched her walking around her apartment with one of the cats in her arms.

“I just dropped off Abuela, and she gave me an earful of things I didn’t want to hear.” I sighed, looking at him.

Ezra was sexy as hell, and I should have told him every day that he was.

She told you to stay away? He signed.

“No, she told me I needed to get my head out of my ass and realize that the spell just sped things up and that what I was feeling was real,” I said, running my hand through my hair nervously. “I think I've always loved you, Ezra, and I’m sorry that I've never told and I treated you like shit and—”

Ezra pulled me in for a kiss, silencing my ramble. My heart grew ten times bigger and it felt like too much.

I knew you loved me, even if you didn’t know it yourself. I figured you would eventually tell me and until then I could love you enough for the both of us, he signed.

“You didn’t have to, but I’m glad you did,” I said, pulling him in for another kiss that felt like coming home. “I’m sorry it took me so long to get here, I just needed an eighty-year-old woman to knock some sense into me.”

I’m glad she did. I hated going against our promise, but I wasn’t going to let that woman get in the way of my love.

“Well, she told me to tell you she gave us her blessing,” I said, kissing him again.

Good, cause I’d hate to go against her grandmother who could possibly do some bad shit to us, he signed.

She threatened to make me bald so I really don’t want to see if she can make that happen,” I said, kissing Ezra again felt like a piece I had been missing had slid into place.

God forbid you lose your hair. Ezra grinned.

“I’m vain, so sue me,” I said. “Now what's the plan for our little witch?”

Ezra grinned. I knew everything was going to be alright in our world and if not, then we would make it so.

ORGASMS ARE THE BEST APOLOGY.

Halloween had always been my favorite holiday. I felt most witchy during this time of year and there was just more magic in the air. Tonight was Samhain, the day where the veil to the spirit world is at its thinnest. It was a night that I let myself feel for my mother. Since she had left me with abuela, we had not seen or heard from her and I only gave myself this day to see if she had crossed over to the spirit world.

I held a live on social media for anyone who would like to participate in my yearly Samhain ritual through my subscription, and this year was my biggest live yet. This should have made me happy. It had always been my goal to bring the craft to people who might be looking for answers, to guide my baby witches and have a safe space for anyone who wasn’t sure what they believed in, but tonight, all I wanted to do was light my candle, say my prayer and go back to bed.

It had been almost a week since I had been home, almost a week and a half since I had seen the guys, and I hadn’t gotten any better. Once I destroyed the spell, I expected this weight on my chest to disappear or get better. It had been getting worse and working at Valentine’s had only gotten harder. With each man who walked in, I wondered if it was my men. The disappointment was much more than I could handle. Lately, I had been thinking about quitting. It didn’t help that almost everyone knew what had happened. The pity looks were killing me and I hated the looks Mason and Judd had been giving me.

“Alright y’all, if anyone has a question they’d like to ask the deck, now is the time to do it!” I pushed as much cheer as I could into my voice.

BabeWitch98: Will I meet the love of my life?

“Alright, babewitch98 wants to know if she will meet the love of her life,” I said, shuffling the deck.
