I feel a bit like an asshole calling my mom to tell her I won’t make it home for dinner tonight, considering that I’d told her this morning I would, but it can’t be helped.

Nathan insists on walking me to my car, as he has most days since I started working with him. I considered sitting in my car for an hour or two and maybe calling Max to chat or seeing what manchildren I could troll on my favorite forums, but with Nathan watching to “make sure I get out safe”, I can’t linger here.

If I go to a bar, or really anywhere, alone, horny people are going to flock to me like moths to a flame. So, I do something which, in hindsight, I’ll probably regret.

“Want to get a drink?” I ask, hesitating by my car door. It thankfully sounds casual and not too needy.

“Huh?”

“You know, the thing where you go to a bar or a restaurant and you sit down and imbibe something? Doesn’t have to be alcohol if you’re not a drinker.”

His brow furrows. “I drink.”

“If you understand the concept, why are you acting confused?” The potential rejection prickles, and I fight not to say something rude like I didn’t really want to get a drink with him, and I was asking to be polite or out of pity for a pathetic old man.

A hint of a smile twists his lips. “Sorry, you surprised me.”

I frown and go to tell him to forget it, but he shakes his head. “Yes. Let’s get a drink.”

My pulse quickens and I can’t hide my pleasure as I grin at him. “Yeah?”

“As if I’d say no to the chance to spend more time with you.”

My stomach does a dangerous flip at his reassurance. There’s an alarm in my head telling me to abort, because it’s edging far too close for comfort to a connection beyond sex. Far too close to me not only lusting after Nathan, but liking him.

“Just so you know, I’m only asking because I can’t go home directly from work like this, or my parents will figure us out.” I gesture down to the faint pink sheen on my skin. “And if I go out like this, I’ll be a magnet to anyone looking for a hookup, so I need a big, scary werewolf to ward them off.”

“Right.”

Despite my flippant words, Nathan smirks as if he knows it’s all bluster and can see right through me. “You’re not interested in hookups?”

“I didn’t say that.”

He raises a brow at me.

I sigh. “Okay, fine, no, hookups aren’t really doing it for me. You have a great dick and I prefer it over others. Sue me.”

He chuckles and steps in closer, pressing my back against the car door. “Mmm, so your character earlier wasn’t entirely made up.”

Lowering his voice, he leans in and my skin heats, nipples hardening as his breath skirts across my ear and his fingertips brush against my stomach, where his words are written. “You’re my cumslut now, aren’t you?”

If you’d asked me five seconds ago if I had any interest in more sex today, I would’ve laughed in your face. But desire flares to life at his filthy whispered words.

“Maybe…” I lick my lips and arch against him, leveling him with my gaze. “Don’t let it go to your head.”

He unsubtly adjusts his dick. “Too late for that, doll.”

The pet name makes me go molten. “Doll?” I ask, far too breathily.

Nathan smiles, sliding his hand under the hem of my shirt, his fingers a searing brand against my oversensitive skin. “Yes. Mine to play with whenever I want.”

His fingers dip into the waistband of my skirt, and my breath hitches. He looks around the parking garage, then, satisfied there’s no one around, he slips his hand down under my panties to cup my pussy, where I’m still leaking his cum.

“Nathan.” His name spills from my lips like a prayer.

He inhales deeply and groans, teasing my soaked folds for a second before pulling his hand away.

I squirm, trying not to show my disappointment that he’s not fingering me in the parking lot like the slut he’s labeled me, as he brings his fingers to his mouth and licks them clean.
