“But now you don’t have to.”

She smirks at my accidental innuendo. “Ahhh, so you’re walking me to my car so you can handle me.”

“That’s not—” An annoying flush warms my cheeks. I huff. “Come on, let’s get out of here before someone ropes me into another meeting.”

“Yes, Sir.” She winks at me and laughs, and I follow her out to her desk, where she grabs her purse and slings it over her shoulder. “Should I take your arm? Then you can escort me like a proper gentleman so my virtue isn’t besmirched by crossing the road to get to my car on my own.”

I snort. “We both know I’ve already thoroughly besmirched your virtue,” I murmur, just loud enough for her to hear in case anyone is nearby.

Samantha leans in and I suck in her scent greedily. “Hmm, I can think of plenty more we could do to really sully me,” she whispers back.

I force myself to step back before I get hard and have to walk through the office while hiding a raging erection.

We head out of the building, sharing an elevator down to the lobby with a handful of people I’ve never met who give me the stink eye and Samantha sympathetic looks. I’d bet money they’ll talk shit about me to her at any opportunity, so I’ll have to warn her to ignore it. I don’t want them hating her, too.

When we’re out of the building and away from them, Samantha gives me a curious look. “It’s wild how you transform so quickly.”

For a split second, I think she’s talking about shifting into my werewolf form. “W-what?”

“In the elevator. You went from relaxed to ice cold and foreboding like that.” She snaps.

“Oh. That.”

“It’s impressive. If I didn’t know you, I’d be a little scared of you.”

“Good to know.”

I don’t want anyone to fear me, but after all these years I’ve learned that’s better than the alternative. If they’re intimidated, they won’t ask me for favors or to put in a good word for them. They’ll leave me alone rather than pretend to be my friend and then get mad when I don’t let them use me or my family name to get ahead.

Samantha nudges me with her elbow. “Don’t be butthurt. It’s just an observation.”

“I’m not.”

She snorts but doesn’t press the topic further.

As we go into the garage, she looks around for danger. When she spots a pigeon, she gasps and makes a show of moving closer to my side. “Oh goodness, I’m so glad I have a big, strong man to protect me.”

“You’re such a brat,” I mutter.

“And you like it,” she retorts.

She’s so close, her warm arm brushing against mine and her scent invading my nostrils, and before I can think better of it, I’m backing her up against the concrete wall between a pair of SUVs.

Her breath hitches, pupils dilating.

“I do.” I bend forward and run my nose along her neck, shuddering as her arousal blooms in the air.

She grabs my tie and hitches her leg up, wrapping it around my legs to bring me flush against her body. “You going to do something about it?”

It’s a dare, and gods, I want to take it. But anyone could walk by and see us.

“Tomorrow,” I rasp, sucking in one last breath of her and pressing my thickening dick against her belly as a promise for what’s to come.

Her cheeks flush a delightful pink, as if her succubus form is trying to peek through. A form that I’m suddenly desperate to see.

I assume she’s pink like Elle. What kind of horns does she have? Would she like to have her wings touched? Would she use her tail?

“Or, you could come back to my place,” I blurt, my dick and curiosity taking the reins.
