“Show me.” I gripped his chin and breathed the words against his lips.

His pupils dilated, and he bent, scooping me off the ground in one easy move. Then he pressed my back to the door.

My legs wrapped around his waist, holding me in place, while my fingers curled into his hair. Delicious friction built between us as we kissed, and my breaths soon became pants.

Seconds passed, maybe minutes, as we drank one another in.

Then the door was opening, and Archer carried me over the threshold. He kicked the door closed behind him and set me on my feet to turn the deadbolt.

“Okay?” I asked.

Archer smiled, walking me backward towards the couch.

I pulled at his shirt, and he bent to let me drag it over his head. I stripped off my coat, and his hands found the bare skin of my waist, sliding my hoodie upward.

A moment later, my shirt hit the floor.

Archer paused to stare at my body, then he cursed before gathering me against him once more. “So fucking beautiful.” He cupped my breasts in his hands and kissed the exposed flesh above the flimsy fabric.

He covered the material with his mouth and suckled, hardening my nipples and making me gasp.

I kissed him with fervor, pouring everything I couldn’t say into the touch. Want and need and emotion I wasn’t ready to name yet.

He sat on the couch and pulled me onto his lap, moaning as I straddled him. He gripped my ass in those big hands and dragged me forward, until the most sensitive part of me pressed tightly to the hard length of his body.

My head fell back in delight.

His mouth was on me again. Hands pressing the material of my bra cups away to expose each breast. Then his perfect tongue laved my heated skin.

Heated words spilled from my mouth. I needed more. I need him. Now.

His phone rang, and he rose, holding tightly to me with one hand while he dug the device from his pocket. Then he tossed it onto the other side of the couch and pinned me to the cushions with his body. He kissed me until I was dizzy with want, whimpering with need.

The phone rang again.

His hand slid along my thigh, and I hooked my knee around his hip.

Then my phone went off. Not ringing, or a single buzz, but a rapid-fire series of notifications. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.

We froze, the moment ruined.

I released him, and he angled back onto his knees, giving me room to sit up. I pulled my phone from my pocket.

Ding. Ding. Ding.

Archer reached for his phone as well. His expression shifted from desire to concern in a heartbeat.

My screen was full of Instagram notifications. All direct messages. All from the same account.

@soundguy_nc

My hands shook as I opened the first one.

@soundguy_nc: You looked so beautiful with the sunset in your hair. Like an angel.

My stomach dropped.

@soundguy_nc: I knew from the moment you looked into my eyes we were going to be an epic love.
