“So good,” she whispered.

I squeezed her ass, wanting her even closer, as I met her thrust for thrust.

And we found our rhythm, just like we always did.

“Baby, I could fuck you every day for the rest of my life, and I swear it wouldn’t be enough,” I grunted.

“Never enough,” she said as I felt her tighten around me.

She dug her nails into my shoulders, and I reached for her hair, tugging her mouth down to meet mine.

I kissed her hard as she gasped into my mouth.

She was so fucking ready. My other hand moved between us, circling her clit with the slightest bit of pressure as her head fell back with a gasp and she exploded around me.

I could feel every inch of her tremble and shake, and I thrust one more time before following her into oblivion.

A guttural sound left my throat as I came hard.

And I wrapped my arms around her as we both rode out every last bit of pleasure.

I pulled her mouth down to mine and kissed her again.

“I love you,” she whispered when she pulled back.

“I love you, Magpie.”

I set her down, and we both adjusted our swimsuits before climbing out of the water. We rinsed off in the shower, just like we always did, and got ready for bed.

Once we were settled beneath the sheets, I pulled her onto my chest and kissed the top of her head.

“We’ve got two weeks with the restaurant closed to get everything moved over to the new location,” I reminded her. “How would you feel about going to look at a house tomorrow?”

She’d let her Airbnb go and moved into the houseboat with me.

“Why? I love the houseboat,” she said, pushing up on her elbow to look at me.

I chuckled. “I know you do, but I don’t know, I think it’s time we get a place together. A house with more space, so we can start our lives there.”

“We’ve started our lives together already, haven’t we?”

“I’m just thinking about the future, and—” I paused, suddenly feeling like an asshole for jumping ahead on everything.

“Don’t stop. Tell me what you’re thinking about.”

“I want everything with you, Magpie. Things I never thought I’d want—I think about it now.”

“Tell me,” she said, a big smile spreading across her gorgeous face.

“I want you. All of you.”

“Done. You’ve got me.” She gave me a chaste kiss. “What else do you want?”

“How about you tell me what you want.”

“I want everything. Marriage, maybe a dog, and a few little McGrumpys down the road.”

I laughed. “Marriage, a dog, and a little McGrumpy and a little Magpie later. We’re on the same page. But we can’t do all those things on a houseboat, baby. Cutler told me about a house that just came on the market, and it’s on the same street where he and Gracie are building, so it’s a great location. I thought we could go take a look?”
