I rocked against him until my body slowed, my breaths relaxed, and my hands released their tight hold on his hair.

His head lifted and he smiled, his mouth glistening with my release. He moved his tongue along his bottom lip, and his heated gaze found mine.

I smiled up at him, my body too relaxed after that epic orgasm.

I forced myself to sit up, excited to return the favor, but Bass had other ideas. He got up and scooped me into his arms, cradling me against him as he carried me to the bathroom.

“I need to get to work, so let’s take a shower,” he said as he turned on the water. My eyes moved to the erection poking against his fitted black briefs.

I nodded before he stripped off his briefs and walked into the shower. I followed, and we stood under the spray of hot water. I pressed both of my hands to his chest, guiding him back to sit on the bench.

He didn’t say a word as he sat down, drops of water trailing down his handsome face. I gripped the outside of his thighs and slid down on my knees, where I settled between his legs.

I tipped my head back, and the look in his eyes stole the air from my lungs.

It was pure adoration. Or maybe it was something more.

I felt completely safe with this man. Content in a way I’d never experienced.

I wrapped my hand around his shaft, stroking him a couple of times before wrapping my lips around him. His head fell back against the shower wall with a hiss, and I took him all the way in.

Slowly at first.

I swirled my tongue around his tip, taking my time and loving the way his hands gripped my hair and his breaths grew labored.

I knew what he needed. What he wanted.

I moved faster. Up and down.

Over and over.

Hot water rained down on my back as his hands tangled in my hair.

“Fuck,” he groaned, pulling me back in warning. “I’m going to come.”

But I didn’t want to stop. I continued taking him deeper.

His hips came off the bench as he thrust forward one last time, my name leaving his lips with a groan.

He unloaded into my mouth, and I took in every last drop.

I pulled back and found his eyes on me.

And then he did the most unexpected thing.

He moved his hands beneath my arms, lifted me up, and settled me on his lap. He wrapped his arms around me and tucked my head beneath his chin, and he just held me there.

The water sprayed down on us, neither of us moving.

Neither of us saying a word.

It was intense and intimate and terrifying, all at the same time.

Because nothing about this felt temporary anymore.
