His eyes peel open, warm and full of love.

“Good morning,” he murmurs.

“Morning,” I smile back.

He pulls me into his chest, and I close my eyes. It’s early Saturday morning, and he has nothing to do today. I’ve been lazing around, too, but knowing that we have this morning of peace just for ourselves makes me giddy.

I’m not sleepy, but when he holds me like this, sleep feels almost irresistible.

“Just sleep,” he whispers against my temple. “There’s no need for us to be up just yet.”

I hum, allowing myself to relax. He runs his fingers through my hair, slowly gliding them up and down. Shivers of pleasure slide down my back, and I can’t help the sigh that slips past my lips.

After all the trouble, after all we’ve been through, we truly deserve this.

Starting today, I’m going to make every single moment together count.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a small or a big thing — I’m making sure he stays happy by my side.

Because without him, I never would’ve known what love means, and how great one could be. Without him, I’d never be so peaceful, so happy, and so excited to see what tomorrow brings us.

As long as I’m with him, I know it’ll be worth it all.

He is worth it all.
