“You can’t do that.”

“Do what?” She raises, blinking at me innocently. Her dark pink nipples are hard and my mouth waters.

I breathe deeply, pursing my lips.

“Okay. Come eat.”

She walks over, her hips swaying. Dani pulls the chair across from me out, but I snatch her plate, dragging it to my side.

“Not so fast.”

She rolls her eyes, coming around the table, hand on the chair beside me. “Nope, can’t sit there. My imaginary friend sits there.”

She snorts. “Imaginary friend?”

“Yeah, his name’s Ben. You sit here.” I scoot my chair back, patting my tattooed thigh exposed from the split in the towel. The grim reaper embedded in my skin looking back at her.

She huffs, trying to hide her smile, “If you insist.”

Maybe it was a bad idea.

My cock hardens beneath the towel, and she shifts. I hiss.

She turns her head to look at me, a smile playing at her perfect lips. “Oh, what’s the matter?”

I glare at her, taking another bite of my pancake.

“We’re working on your portfolio,” I say through another bite of the buttery pancake.

She winces. “Really?”

“Yeah. You gotta stop procrastinating.”

“I know, I know.”

“So, we’re getting it done,” I say with finality.

She shakes her head, rolling her eyes, fork heavy with a syrup drenched bite, “Okay, Daddy.”

My dick twitches.

She pauses, fork to her lips, eyes darting over to me. “Did—”

“Nope, eat.”

Her laugh makes her shoulders shake.

That’s a thing to tackle at another time.

After breakfast, we both get dressed, and Dani is a ball of excited energy.

“I swear, it’s not that impressive.”

“Ha! That’s what she said, now come the fuck on.” She races down the front steps to the garage door.

I got to say, I should have seen that one coming.

I followed her, unlocking the side door to my studio, which Cade and I had built onto my garage after we graduated West View with help from Alex and Bruiser and his brothers.
