Ihave a sick feeling in my chest after leaving Sienna alone with that rat face.

I don’t even know how to describe it, but watching her leave with him, so embarrassed by his actions, made me feel pathetic on her behalf.

It sucks even more knowing that she won’t say a single word against him to me.

I don’t know whether I should praise her loyalty to a man who doesn’t deserve it or think she’s being foolish.

But who am I kidding? Even in my nightmares, I wouldn’t be able to associate the word foolish with her.

She is so fucking smart, and somehow, that only makes her even more beautiful than she already is.

I used to think it was hard to build a crush on someone at the age of thirty.

But I think I might be crushing really, really hard on Sienna Hayes. Terribly fucking gone for her.

And the best part?

I don’t even mind.

In fact, I think those who cannot see her in that light are quite unfortunate.

I shake my head as I lie down on my bed, trying to get my mind off of her, but the next thing I do is open my Instagram, the one app I rarely use, and the first thing I see is her account.

I tap my fingers on the side of the phone for a while, thinking what to do. I don’t follow anyone on this app, apart from the one social media account for my company. And the way people make a big deal out of the smallest things nowadays, following only her account would obviously make new news.

But do I really give a single fuck about them? No

I just care about her silly little outbursts, like the one she had today.

Deciding that I can probably handle another one of those from her, I do the one thing I rarely do. Follow her on Instagram.

I smile, feeling stupidly victorious knowing what will happen now.

I know it’s probably immoral to pursue a woman who already has a man.

But knowing the kind of man, if you can even call him that, she’s in a relationship with makes it a bit of a grey area.

So, I don’t really care about him.

All I care about is her.

I am so down bad for this girl.

“Did you get the information I asked for?” is the first thing I ask Roy once I reach the office

Myra, who meets me at the reception, looks at me in confusion. Too bad. I won’t involve her in this matter anymore.

Not when I can already tell how against she is the idea of me even working with Sienna.

“Emailed you everything,” he says, and I smile with gratification. I knew he would excel in this.

“What are you guys talking about?” Myra asks, confused.

“Nothing special,” I say. “Just something personal.”

She follows me all the way to my cabin, hot on my heels, and I sigh. She really isn’t going to let this go.
