“Faster, Matthew. You’re driving me insane.”
I moved faster. Leading the dance.
“Yes,” she hissed. “Like that. Just like that.”
Her channel squeezed me tight. I thought my head might explode.
Her legs wrapped around my waist and she peppered kisses along my jaw.
“I’m so close,” she whispered.
I pressed deeper. Then tipped her chin up so I could look into her eyes. I needed to see her. See into her soul.
“I love you, Matthew.”
She was crying now.
I was, too.
I kissed her.
“You’re my everything.”
She arched up, and I pushed home.
Her eyes widened as she cried my name.
I gave her everything. Everything that I was. That I was ever going to be, and she gave me perfection.
Long minutes later she was asleep on my chest, her hair a peach-scented tangle of silk beneath my chin. I stroked my hand down the long length of her back and considered tomorrow.
I felt a different kind of smile on my face.
Amusement.
What in the hell was Little Grandma planning for tomorrow?
Chapter Forty-One
What in the hell had gotten into Matthew?
I had expected at least shower sex, instead he was up before me, and the kitchen was clean, and he’d somehow put a fresh set of clothes on.
“Are you feeling all right?” I asked him over the rim of my coffee cup.
“Yeah, why?”
“Because you didn’t try to jump me this morning. Did you have a birthday while we were apart? Are you now an old man?”
He choked on his bite of toast.
“No, I’m still thirty-eight. My birthday is in December. I’m a Capricorn. I’m really reliable.”
“Hmmm.” I took another sip of my coffee.
“Is that what you’re going to wear today?”
I looked down at my jeans and tank top. “I wasn’t planning on leaving the house, so yes.”
