Shit, she isn’t wearing a bra.
Ezio was having trouble thinking with his big head; instead he was watching as she bent over and searched his refrigerator. He got to see her rounded ass in the leggings and the sway of her breasts as she reached in for the fresh blueberries that were in the front of the refrigerator. Add in the swing of the long blonde swish of hair, and he was a goner. Eden better get here soon, or he was taking Samantha right back up to bed.
“Did you say something?” Sam asked as she twirled around to look at him.
“Don’t think so,” he croaked out.
I sure as hell hope not.
“Oh. My bad. Where are your bowls?”
“In the cupboard behind you.”
He watched as she twirled again, the ponytail swishing. Ah, the things he could do with that hair. “Besides toast and fruit, is there anything else you want for breakfast? I usually have a fruit smoothie and sometimes eggs. I can get you whatever you like.”
She set down the bowl. “That sounds great. I’m so used to having to scavenge whatever is in my fridge. Half the time it’s leftovers from the night before. I was psyched to see the berries. You have raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries, as well as strawberries, which is cool.”
“Why’s that?”
“I’m deathly allergic to strawberries, so the others will be great to have.”
“Good to know.” He immediately took out the container of fresh-cut strawberries and threw them down the disposal.
“You didn’t have to do that,” she protested.
“We don’t want any accidents. Now, you were telling me about eating your dinner from the night before. You’re kidding me, right?”
Her stomach growled, and she blushed.
“Okay, before I get on your case about your eating habits and last night’s antics, how about I make you a decent breakfast?”
“I would be forever in your debt, kind sir.” She fluttered her eyelashes up at him, then sobered. “Actually, I am in your debt. Thanks for the partial rescue. You were a lifesaver, scooping up Phil and Greg and reminding me I couldn’t go home.”
Ezio felt his chest swell. “It’s all good. Why don’t you also get the blackberries, raspberries, vanilla yogurt, OJ, and oat milk from the refrigerator?”
“Oat milk? Really? Won’t that make it taste funny?”
“It’s vanilla oat milk. You’ll like this, I promise.”
He plugged in the blender on the kitchen island and then threw in blackberries and raspberries, yogurt, oat milk, and orange juice. While it was blending he got down some tall glasses. When the blending was done, he poured the smoothie into the glasses and handed one to her.
She took a long sip and moaned.
“Oh my God, I didn’t think anything could beat cold Chinese food for breakfast, but I think I’m a convert.”
He shuddered.
“Seriously, Ezio, this is delicious. I don’t think I’m going to need the eggs.”
“Yes, you are, you’re going to need the protein. Keep drinking your smoothie while I whip up the eggs.”
“Is there any way I can help?”
Don’t moan anymore, unless we’re in bed together.
“Tell me how you managed to clear out the wig shop. I’m assuming that was your doing?”
