My entire body began to tremble as my orgasm crashed through me.

I was lost to the feel of his body connecting with mine and euphoria flowing through my veins.

“Hazel.” His voice was guttural as he called out my name.

I felt him jerk inside me, and then he toppled over onto me, his weight like a warm blanket I didn’t know I needed.

We both lay there catching our breath—though it was mostly me, since Hank seemed to be superhuman and didn’t require extra time to regulate his normal body function.

“Promise me you’ll never get rid of this beard. It’s like heaven and my favorite part of your body.”

“Great. Now I need to fuck you again because you’re being cute, when I really need to eat.”

“Poor, hangry Hank,” I teased, knowing that baiting him would get me what I wanted.

I wanted to see the side of Hank he worked so hard to keep contained. The one that stopped overthinking and simply took what he wanted.

“You’re making this difficult. Very hard, Hazel.”

“Mmmm,” I hummed, wriggling underneath him and biting down on my bottom lip. “I like making you very hard.”

He groaned in reply, but I felt his length against me, getting harder by the second.

“Do it, Hank,” I goaded. “Make me feel good.”

And he did.

After we were both depleted of any energy from the second time, we fell asleep in each other’s arms, and I slept like a baby.

Food would have to wait until tomorrow.

Nestled next to him, there was nothing that could ruin this happy feeling.

Hank and I were supposed to take Shadow down to the beach before the big storm everyone had been talking about finally rolled through. The weather had been getting worse all afternoon, but there was still enough time for a quick walk.

I wanted to collect some more shells while we were there, so I told Hank I was going to run home really quickly and grab my bucket and gloves. But I also wanted to go back to my house so I could cool off for a few minutes. I was mad. Livid was more like it.

We’d just gotten into an argument over a call I’d received from my dad.

“I don’t see what the problem is if I’m just talking with him,” I told Hank.

“It’s not just talking with him. He wants to meet you in person, just the two of you,” he argued.

“I can meet him at a restaurant or someplace public,” I offered.

“He refused to let anyone else be around.”

“No, he refused to let you be around,” I countered. “He said Cora could come.”

“She’s your sister!”
