Roxie’s eyes fluttered open for a moment and she looked out of the window at the fluffy clouds outside with a sultry smile. Another new experience with Lincoln. She ground her hips down, tilting at just the right angle to make the pleasure flow through more of her body. She knew very well that sex wasn’t just about the end goal, it was about enjoying the parts in between. And right now, she was enjoying every moment.

Her tongue darted out to wet dry lips while her hands moved to her nipples, cupping them through the thin fabric of her dress and bra. Lincoln glanced up and gave her a wink of approval as her fingers closed on her nipples. That look told her to go ahead, do what she wanted. But that only created an urge to touch him.

Her left hand slid down her body to reach for his mouth then slipped up his cheek and into his hair. Without thinking about it, her right leg came up in the seat to open herself more to him, her fingers gripped in his hair to hold his head in place. Roxie’s hips danced to the tune of his tongue and the two fingers he now used to tease her higher.

She groaned softly, not certain how much the pilots up front would hear. He gave an answering groan, a sound full of need, but he didn’t move. He must be aching to fuck her by now, but it was her birthday and he’d said this day was about her. She would worry about what she wanted right now.

Roxie stopped thinking again when everything came together at just the right pace, when her breath caught in her chest. She took in gasps of air, not aware of the way she moaned his name over and over. All she knew was Lincoln’s scent, her own scent, and the way he made her feel.

Loved and pleasured, sensations she wasn’t used to at all, Roxie finally let go. Her fingers clawed deeper into his hair, her back arched, and everything became a blur, a blank place where all that existed was what Lincoln made her feel. She didn’t want to leave that place, she didn’t want to go back to the real world, not when this place gave her so much bliss.

She was aware of the way Lincoln touched her, of how his tongue never stopped stroking her, or how he never stopped loving her. Shit.

Did he love her? Is that what all of this meant? She wondered, as he pulled away to wipe his face with a napkin. He put the napkin in the pocket of his suit jacket, revealing a pleased smirk.

Damn, even when he smirked, he was sexy.

But even that thought didn’t distract her from that fleeting question she’d had. Did Lincoln love her?

She thought back over the last few months, of the things he said when he wasn’t paying attention or that he thought wouldn’t reveal anything. He’d been looking for her since that night ten years ago. Why?

Surely, he hadn’t loved her back then? She’d been infatuated with his brother anyway, so maybe she didn’t notice. She’d also hated his guts, but that was beside the point. Or had that one night they’d spent together really changed him?

Or had he come to love her over the last few months? If he’d loved her back then he’d been in love with a spoiled little girl who didn’t know what life was about at all. Naïve and overprotected, that’s what she’d been, but she soon learned how to take care of herself.

Now Lincoln was back in her life, caring for her, taking care of her, and insisting that she be as cocooned from the world as she’d once been by her parents. Was that love?

After her experiences with Nathan, she didn’t want to be in love. He’d fooled her, hurt her, scarred her emotionally. Her infatuation all those years ago with Liam hadn’t been real when it came down to it. They’d exchanged secret love notes, but never had conversations together. Not private ones, anyway.

There’d been men in her life between Lincoln and Nathan, but those had mainly been arrangements she’d made with rich men to make sure she could eat and have a place to call home. There’d definitely been no love in those relationships.

Which left her questioning why she was here now. She’d let Lincoln take her to his place, without another contract, without a promise of anything. Was that because she loved him? That was a worrying thought, but she couldn’t push it away. Did she love this man who seemed to want to make the world hers?

She watched him get back into his chair, buckle up, and take her left hand in his. She stared at their joined hands, wondering if she was in far more trouble than she’d originally thought?
