To his amusement, the room was full of steam from what must have been a blistering hot shower. He could barely make out her silhouette through the clear curtain. Well, that wouldn’t do. He gathered up the small pile that sat on the counter, tugged the towel off the rack, and slowly ducked back out.

A few minutes later he heard the water turn off. Sitting in the only chair in the room, he waited until he heard Eliana curse and step out into the room. Her eyes searched for a moment before landing on him. Her confusion turned into understanding, and she huffed.

“Good morning,” he teased with a wiggle of his eyebrows. Her pile of clothing and the only towel sat on the floor next to him as he sat cross-legged in the chair. Eliana stood in the doorway to the bathroom dripping wet and entirely naked. His eyes raked over her shamelessly.

Her hair was even darker while it was wet, and his eyes followed a single drop of water as it fell from a strand of hair and cascaded down her bare chest between her breasts. Soft and pale, her two mounds came to shivering peaks with rosy pink nipples. Her soft areolas were pulled into taut peaks, small goosebumps marring her otherwise smooth complexion.

Her tiny waist came to a trim dip just under her ribcage, and her soft stomach had the right amount of plump to keep those hips full and fleshy. Her chest was rising and falling, her hands on those perfect hips as he devoured her with his eyes. Round hips gave way to full thighs, and her perfect v was covered in soft, trimmed hair that still glistened with water. He swallowed hard, his cock growing hard in his pants.

Her tender thighs stopped at two knees he’d since learned were ticklish on the underside. Kye had discovered this when they’d been draped over his shoulders the night before. Her smooth calves were slender, and her tiny, bony ankles had tasted salty when he’d kissed them. She was perfect.

Eliana moved toward him, and his legs uncrossed. She was biting her lip as she straddled him. His hands took her waist and traveled up her back and into her hair. God, she was good. She seemed just as aware of his body as he was of hers because the moment she was on him, her heat found the perfect spot over his cock to begin grinding against him. Her breasts were heaving in his face, and he kissed the tender skin.

“You took my clothes,” she said, resting her arms on his shoulders. He grinned wickedly up at her.

“You look better without them,” he admitted and lifted a hand to hold her left breast, the pink nipple staring at him mercilessly. He took it in his mouth and tugged on it with his teeth. She smelled fresh and soapy, and she tasted sweet. He was rewarded with a moan, and she wove a hand into his long hair. The bristles of his beard scratched at her tender skin.

“Mmm, is that coffee?” she asked teasingly as she leaned over to grab the Styrofoam cup. Kye growled as she took a long drink, her throat long and exposed as she tipped her head back. His hand wound around it, and he gripped her. She looked down at him with a raised eyebrow, and he took the coffee from her, setting it back down.

“You want your clothes back, you have to earn them,” he said in a low voice. His hold on her throat was exciting. His dominance titillating. Her hand snaked between them, and she gripped his erection.

“Earn them? How would I do that?” she asked coyly as she massaged him through his jeans. He leaned forward and whispered in her ear, and she made a mock gasping noise. “You want me to what?” she asked in fake shock. “You’re wicked.”

“So are you,” he agreed, grinding against her hand. She quickly unfastened his belt and withdrew him before she slid off his lap, dropped to her knees, and took him into her mouth.

Eliana finished off the last of her coffee that had long since gone cold from that morning. A faint smile still lingered on her face at the memory of their steamy morning. Now, Kye and Grier were settling matters with an overseer at the transportation depot just outside of the city near the border.

Kye’s Harley and the Hummer were inspected and loaded onto a train that was due to leave within the hour. The haze and smoke that clouded the air from the coal train wafted in great billows. The overseer was a shorter man with a bald head and a dirty shirt, but he looked friendly enough. The three of them took turns shaking hands, a deal clearly struck, and both Kye and Grier made their way back over to her.

“So?” she asked, looking up at the two taller men.

“The train stops in Mexico City. Leon will see that the vehicles are on the exchange to get them into the country,” Kye answered and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

“We’re catching the next bus out of town. We’ll be out of the country in the next two hours,” Grier said, unzipping the outer pocket of his backpack and removing three passports. He handed Kye and Eliana one, and she flipped hers open.

“Nancy Drew?” Eliana asked with narrowed eyes. The corner of Grier’s mouth twitched upward ever so slightly.

“Yeah, you’re both nosy and always getting into trouble,” he said in a matter of fact tone.

“What’s yours?” she asked, peeking at Kye’s. He held it out to her, and she read the name. “Kyle Rayner? That’s not very original.”

“It’s Green Lantern,” Kye defended and pulled his fake passport back. Eliana rolled her eyes.

“I suppose you’re Clark Kent?” she asked Grier who was pulling his sunglasses on and shook his head. “Thor?” Knowing Nancy Dre… er, Eliana wasn’t going to relent, he handed his passport over. “Who’s Dick Grayson?”

“Nightwing,” Kye and Grier said simultaneously.

“Who’s that?”

“Seriously?” Grier asked as though deeply offended. “Kye, your girlfriend needs a few valuable life lessons in comic book trivia.”

“You know, come to think of it, ‘Dick’ is an excellent name for you, Grier,” Eliana said flatly, and Kye laughed. He pulled her against his side as they set off for the other side of the transportation depot where the buses docked.

“Come on, baby,” he said, kissing her temple, “by the time we get to Mexico, I’ll have you all caught up on your comic book trivia.”

“If Max is dead and you’ve paid the blood price to leave the Screaming Demons, why all the protocol? Why do we need to cross under assumed identities?” Eliana asked. She was grateful when they stepped into the air-conditioned station. Grier and Kye exchanged looks as they sat at the picnic-style table in the center of the room. Above them, the electronic board lit up with pending arrivals and departures. “What? What aren’t you telling me?” Eliana asked when she noticed their unease.
