Yeah—we both saw the same thing.
Tomorrow night is going to absolutely fucking destroy her.
Lucky bitch.
I’d be absolutely lying if I said I wasn’t jealous.
“Anyway,” Griffin says loudly, still fighting a smile of his own, “Cami is behind me.”
“Good choice,” I manage to say.
“Don’t,” Griffin warns.
“What? I didn’t say anything bad.”
“You were thinking it.”
I shrug. “Maybe.”
Micah moves his foot away from me as he sits up to reach for his drink.
I miss it immediately.
I slide my foot against his.
His eyes cut toward me.
What?
I’m behaving.
Mostly.
Ronan gets us moving again, and for maybe ten whole minutes we actually play D&D.
Then Cami rolls a three and fails a dexterity save.
“The room restrains you,” Ronan tells her.
I slap both hands on the table and try to keep my reaction inside.
“No,” Micah says.
Ronan points at me without looking toward me. “Don’t.”
Cami is laughing.
“What am I restrained by?” she asks.
Ronan looks at her. “Vines.”
“How restrained?” she asks, her voice dipping seductively.
“Cameron,” Ronan warns.
“I’m asking mechanically—how much can I move?”
“Sure,” Griffin mutters. “Mechanically.”
