There were no more texts but now that I’d heard the texts, I remembered Cody’s sexy bedroom voice in my ears as I finished jacking off with him. The dried semen on my bedsheets were proof something had come and gone.

I was already hard and horny so I thought before taking the sheets off I might as well give them something else to remember me by.

Whoever said romance was dead hadn’t met my Cody.

Chapter 15

Cody

I stood and stared around at my new home and drew a satisfied sigh. My shoulders ached from picking up and carrying boxes, and my legs were tired from all the tramping back and forth between my place and Nate’s. I supposed I should get used to calling it “our place.” I grinned. That phrase had a good ring to it.

I still had to pinch myself to truly understand where I was now, both physically and emotionally. The fact Nate and I were a couple and moving in together—giant WOW factor.

“Move over, you lazy bastard.” I found myself shoved out of the way. “Hell, I’m blind and I’m doing more than you are.”

Nate’s amused voice made my grin bigger. “Yeah? I’ll have you know, I managed that box of books that’s bigger than the Taj Mahal all by myself, as well as all that stuff you call art.”

I chuckled at his gasp of mock horror.

“Babe, how dare you?” His smile warmed me more than sunshine would ever do. “You wound me deeply. You truly do.”

He set down the box he’d been carrying and wiped the sweat off his face with his tee shirt. The sight of his sexy, lean body, muscles glinting with perspiration, made me think dirty things not conducive to the current moving in activities.

From the smirk on his face, he knew it too. His beautiful eyes stared at me, and though I knew they couldn’t see me, I knew he saw me. He always had.

“You okay?” He reached out a hand and found my face, running his fingers over my lips. “There’s no frowny pout, so I guess you must be.”

He tried to keep his tone light but I knew better. I reached out and drew him in, inhaling the scent of sweat and coffee, and what was uniquely Nate.

“I’m good. Stop worrying this isn’t what I want. It’s been on your mind all week, I know.”

Nate shrugged as he buried his face into my shoulder. “You love your beach house,” he replied, voice muffled by my skin. “I want to make sure you’re still cool with moving in with me.” His tongue trailed licks of fire up my sweat slicked shoulder and I tried to keep the conversation on track.

“I love you more. And besides, you know what Dev’s face looked like when he saw my place empty? He looked like a man who’d been given the keys to Cock City.”

Cock City was an imaginary place we’d always joked about when we were teenagers, a luxurious golden palace full of naked guys with cocks. Of all shapes and sizes. Yep, it was that simple.

“Dev didn’t know what to do with himself. He darted about like a demented bumblebee, figuring out what to put where. My place will be in good hands. I couldn’t ask for a better tenant.”

Nate’s sightless eyes narrowed as he looked up. “I’d forgotten about Cock City.” A deep low rumble of laughter started in his chest. “God, the fantasies we used to have about that place.”

“And now we have our own place to act them out,” I said slyly, brushing a damp strand of hair from his cheek. My hands framed his gorgeous face and his eyes closed as if anticipating the kiss. I didn’t leave him hanging.

The slow glide of tongue against tongue, the breathless sighs from both of us, the eagerness in lips claiming lips—it was an experience I’d never tire of.

“Hey, you two. Stop getting off while everyone else does the work.” Suzanne’s exasperated tone brooked no argument. She walked into the family room, huffing and puffing, red-faced, as she clasped yet another box to her chest.

Dev followed close behind her, and out on the road, I saw Blu struggling with my surfboard. I’d been damned if I was leaving it behind for Dev to get his paws on. I’d never see it again. And I’d be surfing since getting to the nearest breaks was no big deal; Manhattan Beach was only fifteen minutes away.

Everything was going into the family room, leaving the rest of the house clear for Nate, so he didn’t have a minefield in front of him. He’d been warned the room was off limits. I didn’t want our first day in our home together tainted by him falling over.

“You’re jealous I have this hunk in my arms, and you don’t,” Nate teased as he moved away and promptly stumbled over the box he’d set down. I grabbed for him, keeping him upright before he face-planted.

Nate swore. “Shit, I forgot I put that there.” He bent down and rubbed his shin. “Get used to everything being in its place, because that’s the way things have to roll around here unless you want me in the hospital.”

The insecurity in his voice stung. I needed to nip this in the bud—fast.

I motioned to everyone to put down what they were currently carrying. Blu had walked in and he leaned my board against the wall, crossed his arms and waited. Dev stood beside him, one eyebrow raised.
