“It’s good to be back.”
Seb kissed her head. “Fleur sure missed you.”
“When do you think we should tell her about who I am to her, or do you not want to?”
Seb lifted Snow so she was straddling his lap, her pussy brushing over the hard edge of his erection. “Whenever you’re ready to explain it.”
Snow rocked her body over his dick, making him groan and grasp her hips to still her motion.
“I don’t know where to start explaining.”
“Just give her the cliff notes. Tell her that the man who is her father is your brother, but you don’t really see each other.”
“Yep, that sums it up.”
“Do you want to see him or Jean-Claude?”
Snow reached forward, her hands resting on his chest as she played with the buttons of his shirt and his cock tried to punch a hole through his trousers. “Maybe one day but for now I’m just happy for it to be me, you, and Fleur.”
Seb’s heart kicked up a gear at hearing her say that. “You want us to be together?”
Snow sat back, her walls rising in front of his eyes. “Don’t you want that?”
She made to get off his lap and he stilled her, his hands holding her hips in place. “Stop running from me, Snow. I do want that. I want us to be a family and for that to happen, you can’t run every time you think I’m saying something else.”
Tears filled her eyes, and it almost broke him to see the strongest woman he knew hurting.
“You lied to me, Sebastian.”
Sebastian swept away the tears that fell down her perfect cheeks with his knuckles. Guilt eating away at him. “I know I did, baby, and I’m so sorry.”
The flood gates open for the first time since she’d been rescued from Henri Goubert. “And I know I lied too, but it was my job, and I was trying to protect Fleur.”
“I know.”
“I’m sorry I tricked you, Sebastian. I went into this job expecting to hate you, thinking you were like Dominique. Instead, I found a wonderful man who loves his niece and will do anything to protect her.”
“Not just her. I love you, Snow. I know I fucked up, but I promise you, I didn’t know who Henri was to you until that day at the safehouse in France and I panicked. I was in so deep, and I knew when you found out I’d lose you, and I wasn’t ready for that. I won’t ever be ready for that.”
Snow sniffed, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. “What are you saying?”
“I love you and I want us to be a proper family. I want you to have my last name, to wake up with my face between your legs every day. To fall asleep knowing how lucky I am to have you in my life. To knock you up and see you round with my baby. I want to marry you.”
Her hands covered her face in shock, and he sat up more wondering if he’d fucked it all again by not giving her the romance she deserved. “If you want me to do this with more romance and all our friends watching I can, but please don’t say no. I need you in my life, Snow. You’re my soulmate, the love of my life, and I can’t lose you.”
Her hands cupped his cheeks and she laughed through a sob. “Stop. I love you too and I want all that with you.”
“Are you saying you’ll marry me?”
Snow nodded a grin on her face. “Yes, I’m saying I’ll marry you.”
Relief sharp and hot flowed through him as he brought his mouth down on hers in a way that sealed everything he felt for this woman without words. She melted into him, her arms snaking around his neck as an urgency consumed them both.
Standing with her in his arms, her legs wrapped around his waist, he prowled to the bedroom. Laying her down on the bed he fell to his knees. Taking the ring box from his pocket, he flicked open the lid.
Snow gasped at the exquisite princess cut diamond nestled in a platinum setting, two smaller diamonds on either side, representing him and Fleur. Seb took the ring and slipped it on her finger knowing it would fit perfectly.
“It’s beautiful.”
