And with that, I closed my eyes and gave myself over to him, truly over. I had nothing left to hold back.

I let out a long laugh, and he laughed too. He got up and ran to the bathroom to throw the condom away. When he returned, his eyes zeroed in on the blood on the sheets. A proud look graced his handsome face, but he didn’t say anything about the stain. He climbed back into bed and held me closer than he had ever had before.

He pushed a lock of hair back from my face and kissed me.

“So, how was it?”

“Amazing! Everything I thought it would be and more. I want you to make love to me every day.”

“That can be arranged.”

He kissed me again. I hopped out of the bed and dashed to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror. I felt stronger and sexier than I ever had.

Then my phone beeped.

I grabbed it—it was Kelli.

Kelli:I just emailed your flight information for Friday.

Fuck! Friday was in two days. I hadn’t told Sawyer yet that I was heading to Miami, not that I thought he’d mind. I’d ask him to come with me, but there were strict rules in the contract about not bringing a boyfriend or spouse. I understood the brand’s point—Sawyer would be a distraction.

I’d tell him tonight. But for now, I just wanted to bask in his love.
