His hands travel down my body to the waistband of my leggings. He slips inside and runs his finger along my core. I feel him smile against me when he realizes how wet I am. I’m always wet for him. I always want him. It’s crazy how two people can be so drawn to each other. I’ve never been one to believe in soul mates or anything like that, but now I’m not so sure. For some reason, the universe brought Kai and me back together. I have to believe that fate played a role in that.

His finger circles my clit while his mouth moves back to my lips. He sucks on my bottom lip, making me moan. He bites down right as his finger slides inside me. The pain and pleasure rouse me up even more.

“You know what pisses me off the most, Willa?”

“Wh-what?” I stutter, unable to think straight while he’s touching me.

“I hate that another man has felt you bare, has filled you up with his cum.” It’s not at all what I was expecting him to say, and for a second, I’m caught off guard. But his words make me even wetter than I already was. Yeah, I may have been like that with Nick, but Kai isn’t Nick. There is no comparison. Kai is my knight in shining armor. Kai is the family I’ve been looking for.

“Do it, Kai. I want you like that. I want all of you. Take me however you want me.” I grab his shirt in my fists to get as close to him as possible.

“Fuck.” He moans into my neck. He pumps his fingers inside me a few times before frantically pulling down my leggings and his pants. “I need to be inside you, Willa. I need it right now.”

“Yes,” is the only thing I can say as he lifts me up against the wall and presses his body into mine. His cock is inside me before I can even catch my breath. His fullness is overwhelming every single time we’re together. I’m not sure I can ever get used to it. He thrusts in and out like his life depends on it, and I take every last inch of it, letting him completely control my body. I’m his. I’m completely his.

He takes one of my legs in his hand while my arms wrap around him, my hands clawing at his back, wishing like hell that he wasn’t wearing this stupid shirt. I love feeling his skin on mine.

“God, Willa. You take my cock so good. Do you know that?” My eyes roll back, and I moan in answer. But he doesn’t like that response. He grips my chin and forces me to look at him. “Do you feel how good you take my cock?”

“Yes, yes, yes,” I chant breathlessly.

“Your pussy was made for me. You” Thrust. “Are.” Thrust. “Mine.” Thrust.

He pulls out of me as quickly as he pushed inside and carries me from the wall to the couch like I’m a doll for him, and I love it. I love the fact that he’s basically playing with me. I know I probably shouldn’t like it and that it goes against everything I’ve ever been taught as a woman. But I can’t help it. I love being his. I love that he’s using me how he wants to. It gets me off just as much as it does him.

He bends me over the back of the couch. I feel a tug on my hair and realize he’s wrapping it around his fist. He pulls back so I arch my back before he slides inside me. With one hand on my bare hip and one pulling my hair, he fucks me senselessly against his couch.

“I wish you could see this, Willa. I wish you could see how good we look.”

On the next thrust, I scream his name as I come around him. I feel him swell inside me before his warm cum fills me. His hand releases my hair, and he leans down to press soft kisses to my neck. With his weight on me, I feel the safest I’ve been in a long time. I feel like I’m home when I’m in his arms.

Once he catches his breath, he stands up and slowly pulls out of me. I look back in time to see him watch his cum drip down my leg.

“Willa, you are so fucking perfect.” I smile against the couch cushion. If you had asked me a few months ago if I thought I would be bent over Kai’s couch and filled with his release, I would’ve laughed so hard. This all seems so ridiculous. He hated me, which he had every right to do. And now, he’s asking me to be his girlfriend, telling me I’m his, and fucking me like he can’t get enough.

And I know, in this moment, all I want is him.

But with my luck, this is too good to be true. My life has never been as perfect as it is right now. Not since my mother died, leaving me to fend for myself. Since then, it’s been bad decision after bad decision, with me paying the consequences. Except this doesn’t feel like a bad decision. In fact, it feels like the best decision I’ve ever made. But it’s too easy, and my life isn’t easy.

Now I’ve just got to wait for the other shoe to drop—whenever that might be—because I know it’s coming. It has to be.

Chapter 25

Willa

Moving back to our house was strange. We get back to our old routine without Kai. Roman wanted to sleep with me, so I lay next to him until I knew he was asleep. In the morning, we don’t have to worry about being quiet when we get up, have breakfast, and head to the bus stop.

I think we both feel a little sad not to be at Kai’s house. I walk back to our house after I can’t see the bus anymore and stop to look at Kai’s house. I wonder if he’s drinking his coffee in the kitchen yet or if he’s sleeping in and enjoying the silence in his house again. I wish I could be wrapped in his arms as he sleeps, feel the rise and fall of his chest, and his breath on my neck.

A cold breeze makes me shiver and pulls me out of my trance, and I head into my house. It still smells like fresh paint since they had to repaint most of the kitchen. I don’t mind the smell, though. It makes me think the house is brand new, and I’ve never had a brand new house before. They did a really good job with all the repairs, and the appliances are newer models than what we had. I hate to say that I’m kind of glad the tree fell on our house. It gave us time with Kai. We got to get to know each other, form a relationship. I wouldn’t want to change that for anything.

I get ready for work after digging through my unpacked suitcase on my bedroom floor. The thought of unpacking makes me sad, so I figure I’ll just unpack as I go.

I’ve got a full day of clients to keep me busy and keep my mind off my boyfriend. It feels weird to say I have a boyfriend, especially with as intense as Kai and I have been with each other. It feels like something more than just a boyfriend and girlfriend. I can’t explain it. It’s just. . . more.

“Hey girl, hey.” Kayla greets me as I walk into the salon. She’s at the front desk getting the computer booted up for the day. Another woman we work with, Michelle, is at her station getting ready for her first client.

“Morning, sunshine.” I smile at her as I pass her on my way to my chair.
