“All we need is a copy of that footage and we can end these fuckers.”

“But I slapped him first,” Wendy pointed out.

“You're an omega. At the very least, all of them will be blacklisted from the omega center.”

Her heart pounded. “So they won't just find a new omega to abuse?” she whispered.

Hearing the pain in her voice made Griffith's teeth hurt from how hard he ground them together.

“No. Never. That’s how the Omega Center works,” Nic said. “We’ll make sure of it.”

Wendy seemed to still be processing the words as Niles and Stellan began to retreat.

“Thank you for your help,” Wendy said at the same time Griffith grunted, “Thanks.”

Niles shrugged his shoulders. “Any time I get to put someone in their place is a good time. Call me if they give you any more trouble.”

“And call me if you need help with the gym,” Stellan added.

Nic swallowed and nodded. “Thanks, man. I really, really appreciate it. For everything.”

Stellan reached out a hand, and Nic met him in the middle, a little palm slap action before the two parted ways. Very casual for a crush, Grif thought.

Hmph.

“It was nice to meet your pack,” Stellan added, glancing in their direction as Nic groaned.

“Get the fuck out of here,” Nic grumbled. “You’re causing me problems.”

Niles was waiting for Stellan by the Jeep, and as the omega walked away, he turned to have one last say. “I wouldn’t be me without problems, you know that.”

“Too well!” Nic yelled after him.

“What do you wanna do now?” Tate asked, laying a hand on Nic’s shoulder.

The beta turned and faced his gym, or what was left of it.

“There’s nothing to do here. Do you want to go to the doctor?” he asked, turning his attention to Wendy.

Grif had been in enough fights to know that Wendy’s neck was only discolored, bruised.

A doctor couldn’t do anything about that.

But the alpha understood why he worried.

“What? No, no, there’s no need,” she said, brushing her fingertips over the smudges. “I’m certain it’s just a bruise. Can we just go home?”

Nic’s expression dipped before he nodded. “Yeah. I guess the apartments are safe now, huh?” he asked Tate and Arlo.

“Don’t know why they wouldn’t be. The threat just drove away with their tails between their legs,” Tate answered.

“I’d be willing to risk it to sleep in my own bed,” Arlo admitted. A second later, his gaze widened before it slammed into Griffith. “Not to say that yours weren’t comfy. I appreciate you letting us stay there and—”

Grif gave the alpha a gentle shove. “Shush. There’s no place like home, I am fully aware.”

“So it’s settled?” Wendy questioned, still eyeing Nic warily, as if the beta would throw her over his shoulder and cart her right to the nearest ER. “Back to the apartments, right?”

“Right,” Nic agreed, and Wendy relaxed.
