“Alright, you seem genuine. Put your hand in your purse and grab your key.”

It took Sarah a moment to get her shaking hands into the purse and pull the key free of the multiple keychains jingling like a chime.

“Good, now drop your purse and run on the count of three. You ready?” She nodded again, the purse landing at my feet with a thud. “One…two…three.”

Dropping my arms, Sarah didn’t even glance back as she broke into a fast sprint. “One, firebug,” I called out. “Two, firebugs, three, firebugs….”

I watched with amusement as Sarah sobbed, as she ran for her car. She was shaking so much that it took her three tries to get the unlock button pressed.

“Four, firebugs,” I yelled. “You better hurry.”

Sarah yanked hard on the car door and jumped inside. The distinct clicking sound of the doors locking boomed in my ears. I smirked.

“Five, firebugs….”

Boom!

The car exploded violently as Sarah turned the key in the ignition. The only other car on this level began to wail as the car alarm went off.

“Six little firebugs all in a row. Watching as the woman burn in a show,” I softly sang.

Bending over I picked up the discarded umbrella and purse. My black-gloved hand looked large, holding the smaller feminine bag. With deadly accuracy, I tossed the purse, so it landed on the concrete and slid close to the car. I didn’t want the police to have any trouble identifying her body. The umbrella, on the other hand, was useful, so I decided to keep it. Never knew when you might run into a little rain.

I stood staring at my work until the sound of sirens reached my ears. That was my cue to go. Head down, I stepped around the concrete barrier and made my way down the stairwell and out into the night before the first fire truck pulled up. They were going to have fun since that truck was too tall to drive up the ramp to the fourth level.

Awe, such a shame.

Whistling, I made my way toward home. I had more plans to make, so many more plans.

Vi was turning out to be very entertaining company. She was extremely smart, with a sharp tongue that she had no problem using to put me in my place. Yet, she seemed very rattled and unsure of herself at the same time. As we reached my truck, I handed Vi a hoodie of mine from the backseat.

“Oh no, that’s okay, but thanks, I’ll be fine,” she said, refusing even though I could clearly see goosebumps up and down her arms.

“I was thinking we could go for a walk along the beach before heading back. It’s still a nice night,” I said, still holding out the garment.

She still seemed reluctant but took the sweatshirt, and I couldn’t stop the smirk as I watched her struggle to get it pulled on over her head without ruining her hair. Reaching out, I flicked the hood out of the way and held open the top so she could put her head through easily.

“Thanks,” she mumbled, her face that delicious shade of pink.

She looked so fucking adorable in my hoodie that I was tempted to push her up against the truck and kiss her hard just to see how she would react. Taking a deep breath, I held myself in check. Even though her eyes practically begged me to kiss her, it didn’t feel like the right time to push that boundary.

My dominant personality wanted to poke at those invisible walls, and I badly wanted to see just how far she’d let me push. Was she a sub, a switch, or a brat? Maybe she was a closet Domme, and she didn’t know it. Every instinct I had screamed that she wanted to be a sub, perhaps a bit of a brat, but she also didn’t seem to know anything about the lifestyle. Most didn’t and blurting out that kind of information could send her running for the hills. So far, I didn’t want her to run…well if it was naked through the house, sure.

“Right this way.” I held out my arm to her again and gave her a little smile as she took the elbow.

The wooden path led right to a pretty spot along that beach that I knew had a boardwalk and was lit, but it also had places you could venture down to reach the water’s edge. We wandered along in a comfortable silence, which was something that I could honestly say didn’t happen much for me. Most of the women that I spent time with were interested in being trained to be a sub. Granted, that was the position I’d put myself in, but it did have its drawbacks.

“Do you like living near the ocean,” she asked, and I looked down at the top of her head, but she was staring out toward the dark water.

“I’ve never known anything else.”

“Same, but I always envisioned myself living near the mountains. I don’t know why. I just love the look of them.” Vi looked up at me, and I almost broke my rules as I stared at her full lips, her bottom one playfully held between her teeth.

No one was around, and we were shadowed where we stood. Vi slowly ran her tongue over her lips and looked away from my eyes. Without even thinking about it, I nudged her chin with my thumb and forefinger, forcing her to look at me. She swallowed hard, her blue eyes going wide.

“Don’t look away,” I commanded softly. Vi didn’t nod or acknowledge that she agreed, but she didn’t try to pull away either. Fuck, she was so tempting. What was it about her that was so intoxicating? I searched her face. She was beautiful, but I’d dated many beautiful women. So it wasn’t her beauty that was drawing me into her.
