“We had to truth test Leon Kenyon.”
That said it all.
“Did he kill her?”
She shook her head.
“Not that we can tell. Unless he’s a master at manipulating an aura, Hart said no. Our belief is that if he could do that, he would have manipulated all of this so we never knew he was sleeping with his patient.”
That was true.
When her husband yawned, she glanced over.
“Bored?”
He laughed.
“No, Baby. Worn out. That’s all. We’re absolutely going to have to tell Ridge. Want me to do it?” he asked.
She shook her head.
“No, we’ll do it as a couple. Let’s face it. I’m going to help my husband’s lover get through this, so that he doesn’t crumble.”
Lucian touched her face.
“Tell me now. Are you upset about Ridge and myself?” he asked, staring into her eyes.
She shook her head.
“No, but everyone thinks it's weird. Julian is grossed out about it, and Honor is befuddled. Hart kept asking me if I was okay, and Tori…apparently she likes my tits.”
He stared at her.
But said nothing.
Oh, and she knew why, too.
“Picturing girl on girl, huh?”
He laughed.
“I mean, I’m a dude, and you’re sexy, so…yeah, I’m a horrible specimen.”
Yeah, he’d done the same thing Julian and Hart had. So, there was no shock there.
“Are you going to go find someone else to make me pay?” Lucian asked. “Because I’m going to find an unregistered gun and prepare for an alibi.”
She snorted.
“No. I’m really okay with it. I’m intrigued by the beast being a beast, but that’s because I like being manhandled by you. Now, if you suddenly tell me you’re not in the mood for sex, when I’m climbing all over you, I’m getting that gun too.”
He laughed.
“That is never happening. EVER.”
To prove a point, he kissed his wife, and as he did, that hunger was screaming in him.
The problem was he’d been in the static without his tuner. Now, he was stripped bare.
