“You can’t. Ridge is going to need us to get him through this. Trust me. I wanted to beat the ever-loving stuffing out of the dude.”
Lucian sighed.
“Why didn’t she just tell us?”
That was a good question, and one they couldn’t answer.
Unfortunately.
“Can I ask you a question?” Bishop inquired.
Her husband glanced over at her.
“Absolutely.”
She prefaced it.
“It’s about sex.”
Oh, boy.
“You want to know about my sex life with Ridge now?” he asked, curiously.
She went there.
“Yes, but not because I’m curious. I mean, I am curious, but the doctor said something, and I’m putting pieces together. Have you been in his head when he’s having sex with his wife?” she asked.
He considered it.
“I mean, we’re always connected. If he wanted to be in my head right now, he could.”
She panicked.
“He’s not, right?”
He shook his head.
“No, Ridge is hiding in sleep. He’s blocked me out or is trying to. Without a recharge, I can’t get into his head easily, but to answer your question, yes, I’ve been in his head. I don’t look because that’s weird, but I know what he thinks about.”
She went there.
“Did she ask him for an open marriage and we just never knew?”
Lucian shook his head.
“No. I’d know that. Ridge would have worried about it and been freaked out. I would have seen that.”
Okay, well, then, this made it worse. Wynter hadn’t even tried to stop the two men.
Now, she had another question.
“The doctor said Wynter liked being submissive during sex, and they meshed. Could it be that she wasn’t into the sex she was having with Ridge, and that was part of it? Because I know if you cheated on me with a gay lover…”
He laughed.
“Oh, this feels like I’m getting my ass kicked regardless.”
She laughed.
