“Is he in there?” she asked.

Avalon squeezed her hand.

“Yes, but I can keep us safe. I know you’re worried he’ll find you, but he won’t. I won’t let him follow you around, as he tries to hurt you.”

She released the pent-up breath she was holding.

“Okay. I trust you.”

They would need that and so much more.

“Please keep her safe,” Josh said.

From the tone in his voice, they knew that he wasn’t enjoying any kind of nonsense that might go down.

Oh, and they got it.

“I’ll be good, Josh,” she promised.

Oh, he hoped so.

What he wanted was his wife to be safe and sound. If it took this kind of thing to stop this madman from coming for her, he was good with it.

While a normal person would be wary of this kind of a thing, he was okay with woo-woo shit.

The Littlemoons were legit, and he trusted them.

After all, they knew about his twin, and they’d helped him come to grips with his death. After speaking to him, he’d gotten over the guilt, and he was healing.

And could move on with life.

So, he’d trust Lucian to keep his new wife safe.

From beside Booth, Raven issued his customary warning to them. If he’d said it once, he’d said it a thousand times.

“Stay in the circle,” Raven stated. “If you come out of the circle, it will break, and all that’s in it will be free.”

Well, no one wanted that.

Going into the static to teach Genesis was the plan, but truthfully, Avalon was also getting ready to do some sketchy shit. She knew what was coming, and how Lucian would die.

Now, she’d begin bending fate, trying to save his life. The last thing she wanted to see was her friend lose his life.

Would it change fate?

Yes, but she was willing to do just that. Sacrifices would be made.

“We will,” she said. “No worries, Raven.”

Oh, well, he had plenty of worries.

And all of them were because of Oracle, as of late.

As they stepped into the circle, Raven and Booth walked barefoot around the circle of salt on the floor in the waiting area of the business.

Furniture was moved, and the place was made to be their space. The meditation room upstairs was too small for all of them, so this would have to do.

Thankfully, it was a weekend, so no one was coming in there.
