“I’m worried about Ridge. We’re going to have to tell him. He’s not going to handle it well. I also don’t like being in the middle of this. I’m married to Lucian, and I know what this all looks like.”

Oh, well, no doubt that it was going to be a shitshow. This was a huge mess thanks to a bunch of things—not just Lucian and Ridge being a couple in the static.

“Well, he needs to know about this for a plethora of reasons. We both saw him this morning, and he’s in a bad place. Despite what this might do, it’ll be worse if he finds out later.”

She knew her partner was right.

“He’s feeling guilty. This isn’t on him. This isn’t on Wynter either. She didn’t deserve to die because she was angry and made a bad choice.”

Bish was curious.

“Did we miss noticing she was angry?” she asked. “Because I had no fucking clue.”

Honor didn’t think so.

“Keep in mind, though, that we don’t spend all day at Littlemoon Investigations, so we could have missed it. Did Ridge mention he noticed her being off? Or Lucian?”

She shook her head.

“Not to me. All I know is Lucian said she was on birth control and they were ‘trying’ to have a baby. There were problems brewing, but I don’t think he knew how deep. When he and Ridge go into the static, they’re connected at the mind. Lucian would have felt anything off regarding Ridge and Wynter if the man was feeling it.”

Honor went there.

“While I don’t blame Ridge for this, since Wynter made choices, we can’t not admit that him having sex with Lucian in the static plays a role in this. You don’t feel bad, do you?”

She shook her head.

“No. Like I said, I’m not upset.”

And she knew they’d had sex on this plane.

Maybe she needed therapy, but she legitimately was not jealous of Ridge and Lucian’s relationship. What she’d said to Hart had been legitimately how she felt.

What she was jealous about was that everyone else wasn’t going to have to break Ridge’s heart over this one.

And she would.

As they reached the square, they saw the witch shop and Tori and Julian inside.

“Let’s grab a coffee and sit outside the bakery. I hope no one gets punched today.”

Bishop looked over.

“You think Tori is going to punch someone?”

She laughed.

“I was talking about you, partner. Not a Littlemoon.”

Well, that was definitely accurately aimed at her.

Because she just might.

Meanwhile…

Five Minutes Earlier

When they got the text, Tori pulled her phone out and showed her husband.
