The woman glanced over at Hart.

“That wasn’t a lie. She’s telling the truth,” he said, absolutely seeing that was a lie, but this was one that didn’t need to come to light.

He’d been in there when he blamed Ridge’s boyfriend. Bishop wasn’t losing this baby on their watch.

Oh.

Hell.

No.

“See?” Honor said, grateful to the man for knowing when to lie to protect someone.

Bishop calmed down.

Marginally.

Now, she didn’t have to go back in there and beat the man’s ass like she really wanted to.

“We need to tell Julian and Tori,” Bishop admitted. “We all need to be on the same page.”

That was the truth. If they wanted to get ahead of this, they needed to be focused.

“I’m going to head back in, unless you need me more,” Hart said. “I want to make sure Lennox is okay with the kids. I don’t want to leave her unprotected, even if our home is pretty secure thanks to Raven.”

They both hugged him.

“Thank you for helping,” Honor stated. “I’ll deny saying this, but your psychic gift made that easier.”

He laughed.

“Damn. Did you choke on those words? Because you just gave me a compliment.”

She snorted.

“Go,” she stated, winking at him.

As Hart headed away, Bishop pulled out her phone. She began texting the Littlemoons so they could find a way to meet up to talk.

As she rattled off the text, she hit send.

‘We’re done with the doctor. We found something. Where are you?’

It didn’t take long to get the text back, proving that they were out doing their job too.

Good to know.

‘We are in the square, and about to head into the shop where the original medallions were bought. We want to see if we see anything that Wynter might have encountered. Meet us at the bakery across from it afterward. We can update each other. Tori.’

That worked for them.

As they began walking there, Honor was curious if her partner was going to be able to pull this off. She was twitchy, and that was anything but good.

Normally, that was her job.

“You don’t get pissed easily. What’s bothering you, cupcake?” she asked. “Other than the obvious.”

She sighed.
