“Company,” she said, clueing them in that Genesis was now arriving.

Just in time, they all looked over at the office doors, and in came Genesis and Josh.

They were holding hands.

Tori couldn’t help herself.

“Uh, you’re late. Next time, schedule the wedding a little earlier,” she joked.

Yeah, they both came to a stop.

So much for keeping it secret. Clearly, that wasn’t going to be an option.

“Uh…,” Josh began.

Honor sighed.

“I don’t like woo-woo shit. I don’t care if it’s ghosts, spirits, psychics, or whatever else is left out there. This makes me twitchy. When I get twitchy, I’m mean. No one likes me mean, guys. NO ONE.”

They all felt Avalon’s laughter as it rolled through the room. Only, she hadn’t opened her mouth, so she was doing exactly what Honor had just protested about.

“And that shit. I definitely don’t like that shit right there! I can’t wait to get a straight murder. You know, like a vehicular one or a domestic. Simple things that aren’t H.A.U.N.T.E.D. all the way to fuck and back again!”

That was amusing.

“I think the woo-woo shit can spell,” Tori offered. “I know Trey can. God. I miss my brother.”

It wasn’t lost on Josh that they were waiting for the two of them to own this.

“So, that cat is out of the bag,” Josh admitted. “Surprise! We decided to elope this morning. Someone throw some rice or something.”

Julian stopped them.

“No one throw ANYTHING. I’m not cleaning up after all of you,” he stated.

That made Tori laugh.

How could it not?

Julian went there.

“Was the wedding good?” he asked.

Both of them nodded.

Josh could feel Genesis’ worry that she’d excluded them. She was gripping his hand like her life depended on it.

Josh went there.

“It was great, and you’re not going to be angry that you were excluded because we had a really good reason.”
