“Oh, so this is a character assassination now, is it?”

“I will pick up every last strand of your discarded, ratty beard and choke you with it in a minute.”

“Don’t threaten me with a good time,” Vienna shot back.

Dante cleared his throat, and we all turned to look at him.

“I’d just like to remind you that the whole ‘hair buddies don’t grab ass’ thing still applies. Stop flirting with my old lady.”

Vienna’s mouth fell open. “You think that’s flirting?”

“Have you met them, Vienna?” Steph called out. “Rachel thinks it’s flirting if she slaps Dante. They’re fucking weird.”

“Kind of awkward just standing here whilst you argue, but please, don’t mind me,” I said, tapping my fingers on the side of my leg.

“Well done, Vienna. She’s going to leave soon.”

“Fuck off, Rachel.”

She cackled in response.

Vienna glared at the crowd one last time before turning to me. “Gabriella—”

“Could you speak up a bit? We can barely hear you over he—put me down!”

I laughed, noticing that Dante had thrown Rachel over his shoulder and forced her to sit in one of the seats. He stood behind her, placing his hand over her mouth.

“Now that’s flirting,” Steph said.

“Ignore the lot of them,” Dante barked. “Continue.”

Vienna shook his head and then turned back to me. “I know things haven’t gone exactly as we planned when we were kids. I know we’ve had our fair share of heartbreak and worries. But no matter what, we’ve always returned to each other. There has never been any doubt in my mind that you were mine. And I’m done pretending there’s any other place you could fit in my life, other than being my old lady.”

Dante—being indisposed with his weird old lady—nodded at Ant who walked forward, grabbed a package from the side and handed it to Vienna.

Vienna pulled it open and revealed a stunning leather jacket to me.

It wasn’t an official Devils Disciples jacket.

This was a property jacket merged with Sin membership.

At the top was “Mistress of Sin,” followed by the logo of the old ladies and “Property of Vienna” written on the sides, followed by my name at the bottom.

“If you accept this, if you wear my colours and my name, there’s no turning back. I’m saying this in front of all my brothers—I will never let you go. Ever. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you in my life. Think about that before you accept this.”

“Vienna,” I laughed. “You stalked my bedroom for a decade. I’m well aware you’re not letting me go.”

The crowd laughed along as I turned my back and gathered my hair in one hand, pulling it over my shoulder.

Vienna draped the property cut over my shoulders, and I shrugged my arms into the sleeves, closing my eyes and inhaling deeply at what this meant.

I was his.

Officially.

Forever.

And the best part? I wasn’t just wearing Vienna’s colours. I was finally wearing the family I’d always wanted.
