Daddy growled. “I don’t want to hear his name come from your lips. He doesn’t deserve that.”
Raelynn brought Daddy’s hand to her mouth and kissed his inner wrist. “Daddy, don’t change the subject. I won’t say his name again, but please, talk to me and tell me what’s going on. Have you located him? What are you going to do with him? How are you going to get him before he comes and gets me?”
There were so many questions running through her head. She wanted to know every single detail. She wanted to know how this was going to go down and whether they were going to survive it.
“Are you sure you want to know?” he asked.
She nodded. “I do. Maybe not all the details on what you’re going to do with him if you find him, but I want to know what is going on.”
“We haven’t located him. He went off grid about a week ago, and no one knows where he is. But before you panic, it’s not the end of the world. We have two amazing people trying to track him now. One of them has connections all over the world, probably greater than what Edmund has. We are going to make him pay for what he did to you,” Daddy said. “I’ll update you on things, but if I notice it starts to affect your health, I’m going to stop.”
“Daddy,” she whined.
“Nope, that’s not going to work with me. Your health comes first,” he said, not leaving any room for arguments.
“That’s no fair.” She pushed her bottom lip out.
“We’ve been over this. You mean the world to me and you getting sick won’t do. I want you thriving, living life to the fullest,” Daddy told her.
“I want that too, but right now it may not be possible. I just don’t want to be left in the dark and something major be happening,@ she whispered.
“You know what I think?” Daddy asked.
“What?”
“I think you need to spend some time in Little space. To let Daddy take care of everything. What do you think?”
Raelynn rubbed her hands together and thought about it.
“I don’t know,” she mumbled and looked around.
They were still in the clubhouse, and she was worried. What would other people think? Would they say things behind and make it difficult for Daddy?
“I don’t think I should,” she said.
“Why’s that?” Daddy asked.
Her gaze roamed around the room quickly before settling back on Daddy. They were alone now, but at any moment, someone could walk back into the room and stumble across them. She didn’t want Daddy to be put in that position.
“Little Fairy, tell Daddy what you’re thinking,” he gently said. “No one else is going to hear you but me. I want to know what’s going on through your head and why you are so hesitant on going into Little space.”
Her gaze moved to the entrances and exits, to see whether anyone was going to appear before returning to Daddy.
“Come on, Little Fairy. Daddy isn’t going to get mad at you,” Daddy coaxed.
“I’m worried what other people will think,” she whispered. “I’m worried they are going to give you a hard time when they find out that I’m a Little. I don’t want you to have to go through that. So we can just pretend that I’m not a Little while we are here.”
It would kill her to push down her Little, but if it was for the sake of Daddy, she was willing to do it. Rae was just happy he still wanted to be with her after everything had happened.
“Do you want to know a secret?” Daddy asked.
“Daddy,” she mumbled. “It’s not going to hurt me. We’ll be going other places to stay, right? We won’t always be here. Right?” she hesitantly asked.
Oh, she hoped they weren’t going to live here for the rest of their lives. As much as she liked the people here, she also knew she was going to need to let her Little out, and she wouldn’t be able to do it here. Maybe they could do it in his room for a while each week when they were on their own.
“We are all Daddies,” Reaper announced as he walked into the room. “Your Daddy was going to tell you that each of us in the Springfield Sinners are Daddies. Some don’t believe they are, but we all are in our own way.”
Her mouth hung open as several other men walked in after Reaper, all nodding.
