“It doesn’t say anything!” she exclaimed, landing on the last page of the book, then checked the back of that page and made an “Oh” sound.”
“What?” I demanded, needing this demon gone.
“It says here that they forced the contracts, making only witches able to summon a demon no matter if the summoner did the summoning correctly or not. Now with the book destroyed, all can summon them, even humans,” Isabelle explained.
Altaur groaned. “This is a disaster waiting to happen.”
“Many of us have already been summoned by humans,” the demon said, pointing to himself. “I only get summoned if the summoner is sexually frustrated.”
Benji made a choked sound while we all tried to act like we hadn’t just heard what the demon said, well all except Jesse, who’d been with Benji when the summoning happened.
“Why aren’t you sexing up your man?” Jesse demanded, glaring at Sal and me. “He shouldn’t be sexually frustrated with two men there to satisfy him. You need me to draw you pictures so you know what to do?” The bastard then winked at us.
“I’ll gladly demonstrate as well,” the demon said, purring as he looked at Benji.
Sal sighed. “Benji is only frustrated because he wanted to try edging and according to him that means going days without.”
Benji gasped. “They didn’t need to know that!”
“I agree with Sal on this,” I said, crossing my arms. “I don’t want them thinking we aren’t tending to your needs.”
“Omg,” Benji whispered. “I might actually die.”
“Because they aren’t tending to your needs?” the demon asked, looking like he completely understood.
“How do we send him back?” I asked Isabelle, who was no longer staring at the book like she should’ve been doing, instead watching the show in front of her with avid fascination.
“Oh,” she said, hurrying to look through the book again. “It says he needs to finish what he was summoned to do.”
“Over my dead body,” Sal growled, and I nodded, also growling low.
“How did you even summon him?” Isabelle asked.
Jesse grinned wickedly as Benji blushed. “Yes, Benji, how did you summon a demon while baking.”
Benji glared at Jesse. “I um, might’ve been a tad frustrated when I mixed the ingredients and mumbled some words about what I wanted my men to do to me.” He was whispering the last part, but we all heard him clearly.
“How would that summon a demon?” I asked the demon.
“It’s about the conviction. I bet he was so highly strung out that I would’ve been summoned by his need alone. But that’s only because he isn’t human anymore, but something other, because of his bonds with you. Had he been human he’d need to have a full summoning circle made,” the demon explained.
“And you can’t go back until Benji is satisfied?” Sal asked.
“No,” the demon stated, smirking at Benji.
“Well, then,” I started, grabbing Benji and putting him over my shoulder. “You stay here, demon, and we’ll go satisfy our human.”
The demon was gone when we returned hours later, a sated Benji with us and many new claiming marks slowly healing on his skin. It seemed the book kept bringing surprises our way, but we now had allies and each other to fight whatever may come.
I was their alpha and they were mine, utterly and completely and I’d finally found my forever pack, with a human and a vampire.
Forever mine, as I was forever theirs.
