“I have a pair of shorts for Benji, but you’ll need to go wolfy. Freddy came with the shorts but I wasn’t about to let him get too close.”
Chris growled low and eyed my body with clear hunger. “No one gets to see Benji like this but us.”
“Agreed,” Zar said, walking away from us and grabbing a bag from the ground. It was a few feet away from where we lay but he’d clearly meant it when he said Freddy hadn’t been allowed any closer. As soon as Zar returned, he helped me stand and then offered his support as I stepped into the shorts. I was aching but in a good way. It was clear my body had changed to accommodate having a vampire bonded and a werewolf mate. I wasn’t about to complain about that, though. It was pretty great and I knew I had no way of saying no for the next full moon.
Chris shook himself before shifting into his wolf. He was black with some grey spots, looking feral as his yellow eyes scanned our surroundings. I was swaying on my feet, so Zar held onto me as he led us back to the car. Perhaps getting claimed like this would forever leave me drained the day after, but I had no regrets. After I’d allowed it to happen and accepted that I had wanted it, wanted Chris and Zar, it made all the difference. I was now calmer and less agitated. I just wasn’t sure how to admit I was done denying our bond. I felt a tad embarrassed over having given in so easily, but there was zero energy left in me to argue. I really just wanted hugs and sleep. All the beauty sleep.
“What’s the plan now?” I asked as soon as we drove away from Keen and back to the hotel in Willowhill. It still had the ward around it and was safer than Chris’ house, which we’d yet to actually visit. Pretty surreal to think that I was claimed by two men and I’d yet to see where either of them lived.
“We stay in the hotel room for the rest of the morning, and while you two get showered and dressed, I’ll order you some food,” Zar replied, focusing on the road.
Chris was still in his wolf form, unable to talk to us— “What about the pack?” Chris somehow asked, while still shifted.
Zar didn’t even blink as he replied, “They’re all sleeping. Freddy was the only one I could get a hold of.”
Our alpha nodded his cute wolfy head from the backseat. “The full moon doesn’t affect him for as long as it does the rest of us. He’s usually only shifted for three hours or so, where the rest of us stay in werewolf form until the moon isn’t visible anymore.”
“Or, if you’re knotted to your mate,” Zar grumbled. “I had to stand there watching you for hours.”
Chris showed his fangs in what had to be a smirk or smile. “You got jealous, huh?”
“Yes,” Zar replied immediately, clenching the wheel. “But I was too busy keeping you safe to join in.”
“Next time,” I said fondly, then blanched when I was met with wide eyes from both my alpha and vampire. I blushed and hurried to look outside at the scenery, paying extra attention to the lovely details on the storefronts. Who knew Willowhill had so many bakeries?
Chapter Twenty
Salizar
Benji was out to kill me.
There simply was no other reason as to why he was being so damn cute, blushing and smiling shyly like I was the best thing that had ever happened to him. Even Chris seemed awestruck when Benji held onto his fur before we left him in the car. We had to pick up some clothes for him to wear from the hotel room and we couldn’t just walk in there with a wolf by our side. And now, my hand was in Benji’s, because Benji had taken my hand. To hold. Like I said, he wanted to kill me. With cuteness.
“Do you think Chris will be okay in the car?” Benji asked, looking worried as we rode the elevator.
“Of course he is,” I assured my human, smiling lovingly down at him because I was pretty much a goner for him. I loved my feisty human, but him with his walls down all cute and open? It was the most wonderful thing I’d ever experienced.
Benji smiled back, a genuinely happy smile, free of any worry and fear. A real smile. The first one I’d ever truly seen on his face. He was breathtakingly gorgeous when he shone like that, my Benji.
“I doubt he’ll be able to fit into my last pair of joggers,” he mused to himself. “Maybe he can borrow one of yours?”
I simply nodded. “I have plenty he can borrow.” I kept it at that, not wanting to get into how I’d ordered more clothes while we worked in Chris’ office yesterday. It had all been delivered and brought up to the hotel room while we were gone.
Benji stepped to the side as I unlocked the room, allowing him to enter first and spot the many brown paper bags filled with clothes and shoes. And some other things I thought we’d need.
“Really?” Benji drawled, his feisty side returning in full force as he grabbed the purple dildo from the bag, showing it off lazily. “You bought a dildo.”
I nodded, hiding my amused smile. “I thought it would come in handy.” I wasn’t about to tell him it was mostly for fun. Like hell if I would ever allow anything other than my cock or Chris’ to fuck our human.
“Har har,” Benji drawled, letting the dildo fall back into the bag. He then scouted for Chris’ clothes and together we took the elevator back down to the basement.
Chris was right where we’d left him, this time in his human form. There were tinted windows on all the coven cars so no one would be able to see him shift in there.
“Hey sexy,” I greeted, handing him the bag.
Chris just smiled and accepted it, wiggling into the grey joggers that did absolutely nothing to hide his perfect cock. Next, he put on the sneakers and then he was out of the car, grinning widely when he spotted Benji who acted awfully shy all of a sudden, blushing and not meeting any of our gazes. I could sense he was happy, nervous, and a tad embarrassed.
“Sweetheart?” I asked, stepping closer to our human. “What’s wrong?”
