“Well, ever since you ran off and then got kidnapped by… he who shall not be named, Marcus and I both agreed that it would be safer for all of us if I added all your locations to my cell phone. This way, if anyone goes missing, we can easily track where you are at any given moment.” Ace gestured down at his cell phone. “Case in point.”
Blade’s mouth dropped open. “So you can track where we are at any moment of the day?”
Ace smirked at him and nodded. “Like when you said you were going to the gym but then came home with your breath smelling like burgers and onions? Yes, I know you stopped at that little burger joint you know I love. Thanks, by the way. Guess who’s not getting any ass tonight.”
Blade blushed and glanced over at Marcus, who was currently rolling his eyes and grinding his teeth together.
“Ace, you’re not supposed to be using the app to track down your burger-eating, cheating husband.” Then Marcus turned to Blade. “And you, next time you go, pick up your fucking husband a burger. Why piss him off? You know he holds all the power in your relationship. Are you dumb or something?”
“You’re not tracking my cell phone, are you, babe?” Gavin asked, crossing his arms against his chest.
“Of course not, babe. I’ve got a hidden tracker in that ring I bought you last month. What sort of monster do you think I am?”
Gavin’s mouth dropped open. The look of shock and betrayal was all over his face.
“Jesus, you people have trust issues. But also, thanks for tracking Basher. Now, can we please go and save his hunky ass?” Cameron asked, breaking up the real-life telenovela episode currently airing in Basher’s living room.
“Umm, yeah, you’ve got a point.” Marcus turned to Blade. “Head back to the bar, collect guns, ammo, and whatever else you think we might need to take down these motherfuckers. Oh, and tell all the guys that we need them on this one. We’re not sure how many guys we might be running into, but I’d rather be the crew with the much larger number.”
“Sure thing, boss.” Blade started toward the door before stopping and turning to his husband. “And you can watch me on your phone, just in case I stop to get pizza on the way to the bar.”
Ace didn’t even look up.
“Just so long as it’s not Napolitan Pizza over on Elm. If you do stop there, you’d better get my pineapple pizza, or else you won’t be getting any ass for at least a month.”
Blade snorted. “And you won’t be getting any of this dick.” He jumped out the door before Ace had a chance to respond.
“That guy is so fucking dead when I get him home tonight. He won’t be walking straight for a week when I’m done abusing his hole,” Ace threatened under his breath.
Marcus let out a groan. “I fuckin’ hate the both of you sometimes.” He turned and walked toward Basher’s kitchen.
Ace glanced over at Cameron, who was busy trying to ignore the knots forming in his stomach.
“I threaten to withhold sex, but at the end of the day, we both know that I’m bending over for him at night. It’s part of our foreplay, and we love that it pisses Marcus off to hear.”
“Can we focus on getting my guy back first? Then we can go back to talking about your sex life once he is safe and sound.”
“Yeah, of course. Sorry.” Ace continued doing his thing on his tablet—planning their route and scoping out what was located around the ranch.
Ace was the Shadow Vipers’ plan guy. He scoped out the jobs and made sure that everybody knew what they were doing and what the plan was. He was the thinker. The organizer.
Marcus, on the other hand, was their leader. His job was to rally the guys and make sure that nobody died or got hurt while under his watch. He was the face of the crew. The man all other men looked up to. He was the muscle, the power, and the beacon.
Cameron didn’t envy Marcus. He had a lot on his plate. All the responsibility and none of the thanks. Thankfully, he had met his better half, Gavin, so at least he had someone to tear into at night, someone to share his thoughts and fears with, and someone to pound out his frustrations with.
Judging by the smile constantly on Gavin’s face, taking Marcus’s dick was not a burden he was worried about.
“Grab the ski masks from Basher’s closet while I give Lucas a call,” Ace instructed.
“Lucas? What’s that little twerp going to do to help get my man back?” Cameron asked, wondering how Caden’s boyfriend—the singing and dancing Broadway lover—was going to be of much value.
“Oh, trust me, you’re going to want the little psycho in your corner when it comes to getting your guy back.” Ace and Gavin both smirked at each other.
What weren’t they telling him?
