CAMERON

Scrolling through his direct messages, Cameron’s brows creased in the middle. For the most part, people loved the collaboration videos he had posted featuring Basher.

There were a few obscene comments in which the viewer described—in detail—what they wanted to do with the hot-tatted guy in the video. Those kind of irked him.

Why did people suddenly jump to the conclusion that Basher was available for hookups? Just because he agreed to be filmed fucking on camera did not mean he was single and looking to mingle!

Okay, perhaps he was overacting.

Just a bit.

But still.

Basher was his, but he couldn’t do anything to claim him—not online, anyway.

Then there was this latest comment from You&I4Eva.

The man had always been so kind and gentle, but this latest comment had Cameron rethinking the kind of person he really was.

Over the past few videos, his comments had been growing more and more aggressive. First, he started out all playful and seemingly joking… “Oh, I see I’ve been replaced by a dimwitted thug who wouldn’t know his left hand from his right.” Followed by… “Okay, you need to stop making videos with this caveman. He’s not good-looking, and you deserve so much better.”

And finally, today: “I mean it! You better stop making videos with this loser ex-con… or else.”

That last comment really angered Cameron.

He had always liked You&I4Eva. The man was always kind and sweet and so generous with his tips. But ever since he had started filming with Basher, the guy had stopped liking and tipping on his videos. He hadn’t even requested a private session in the last few weeks.

And what was with that comment about Basher being an ex-con? He was still wearing his mask, and they were still using his stage name, so it’s not like his viewers knew who Basher was in real life. But still, there was something alarmingly chilling about that one statement.

Was the man just lucky and randomly made an assumption that just so happened to be correct?

Or was there something else going on that should have Cameron worried for both of their safety?

Should he bother telling Basher about the comment?

No. It was probably safer for them to wait and see. It was probably nothing, and there was no point in making Basher angry over what was likely just a stupid comment from a jealous fan.

Cameron jumped at the sound of a knock at his door.

He glanced at his cell phone.

Shit, he didn’t realize it was that late already.

Cameron exited his app, then dropped his tablet onto the counter.

“You came!” Cameron exclaimed, throwing the door open and watching as Basher’s face suddenly morphed into one of concern.

“But… I thought you wanted me to come with you to visit your mom?”

The look of confusion and disappointment on Basher’s face nearly tore open Cameron’s heart. Clearly, this was something that was very important to Basher.

“Of course I do!” Cameron shouted, wrapping his arm around Basher and pulling him in for a hug. “I was just afraid you would think this was too much and change your mind. Meeting the mom is always a big step.”

Relief spread across the rough man’s face. It was clear that tonight meant a lot to Basher as well.

“I’d never cancel on you. I’m looking forward to meeting the woman who raised you. See what sort of woman raised a demon.”

Cameron chuckled and smacked Basher on the shoulder. “Come in. I just need to grab the groceries from the fridge, and then we can leave.”
