He unzipped the dress Grace had loaned me, pulling it down and letting it fall from around my shoulders. He slowly lowered his mouth down to my breast, grazing his tongue against my nipple and then drawing it into his mouth. I gasped as I felt his teeth against my sensitive skin, my nipple swelling against his lips as he touched me and pulled me in even closer to him.

This was what I lived for right now, these stolen moments I could share with the man I loved. Every time we were together like this, I found myself wondering if it was going to be the last—found myself thinking that I might never get the chance to do this with him again. And that just made my touch and my need even more frantic.

I pushed my tongue hard into his mouth, pulling his head back up to mine, and raked my nails down his back before I reached for the buttons on his shirt. I lifted myself up slightly so I could push away the dress I was wearing, pulling off my panties as I went. I needed us both to be naked right now, to feel every part of his body against mine. More than anything.

Once we were both naked, I straddled him again, feeling that addictive sensation of his body pressed to mine. I rested my forehead against his and gazed down into his eyes, breathing hard. He slipped a hand between my legs and cupped it around my pussy. I gasped as I felt him dip his fingers inside of me, massaging around the outside of my slit.

“You want me inside of you?” he asked softly, and I nodded.

“Hell, yes,” I swore, arching my back to press myself against him needly. He grinned and wrapped his hand around the base of his cock, drawing it up to my entrance as he rested his other hand on my hip. Once he had me in place, he began to tug me downward, letting me inch farther and farther on to him until he was buried all the way inside of me.

I just held him there for a moment before I did anything else. The sensation of him filling me was enough right now. He snaked his arms around me and pushed a hand into my hair, kissing me again as he began to move himself up and into me properly.

My eyes began to glaze as the pleasure got the better of me. I couldn’t hold it back. I wanted him so badly it almost hurt, like I knew I would never be able to get enough. I moaned as he thrust into me, driving himself deep and hard into me, the only sound our breath mingling in the air before us and our bodies coming together over and over again.

He took my hand and guided it down to my pussy, letting my fingers graze over my clit. They began moving almost of their own accord. My body seemed to have been consumed by this burning, desperate need for him—I could already feel myself getting close, and I wanted nothing more than to come while I was on top of him.

I began to move my fingers a little faster, grinding down on top of him to match his pace as he fucked me. His eyes were pinned on mine, staring deep into my soul like he was trying to drink in the sight of me like this. I pulled my hand from between my legs and brushed my fingers over his lips, and he parted his mouth at once and drew me inside. Swirling his tongue around my fingertips, he tasted my musk on my skin, letting out an appreciative groan before I pulled my hand back and continued to play with myself.

I could feel the insides of my thighs starting to twitch, and I knew it wouldn’t be long until I reached my release. I was pushing down on top of him now, taking every inch inside of me, and I could feel his movements growing more frantic. His fingers dug into my hips, pushing me down so he could take me even deeper...

All at once, it hit me, the pleasure exploding from between my legs and coursing out to every nerve-ending in my body. I cried out, not caring if anyone could hear us—hell, maybe even wanting them to. Maybe I wanted people to know that, despite everything, we had still come back to each other, still found each other once more, and there would be nothing that could tear us apart.

I slumped on top of him, my head on his shoulder as he continued to move into me. A few seconds later, I felt him shudder with relief, and he came inside of me, a low growl emanating from his throat as he softened against me.

I slowly lifted myself off of him, still in his lap, and he cradled me there as though he didn’t want to let me go.

“That never gets old,” he murmured, running his nose across my ear. It made me giggled.

“Well, I’m glad to hear it,” I replied. “I think we must have woken up the whole neighborhood.”

“Worth it,” he replied, and he kissed me again, guiding me down to the sheets beside him. Silver was curled up next to the door, having figured that we were in the middle of something a little too adult for her to see.

He wrapped me up in his arms, and I wound my legs through his, trying to relax and enjoy this moment we had together. They didn’t come around all too often. It felt like there was always someone else waiting to talk to us or snatch us up, and having this time together was a gift.

“Are you looking forward to going back to Oakville?” I asked him.

“Not really,” he admitted. “But it’s the right thing to do. And I’ve got a good feel for military guys, and the ones Leroy knows seem about as legitimate as they come. We’ll be safe there. I know it’s hard for you to believe, but you will.”

“I guess it’ll be nice to be around my mom again,” I admitted.

“If she’s willing to break up her little love-nest with Barry to let us in,” he teased.

“Don’t make me think about that,” I squealed, laughing. “I mean, I’m glad she’s met someone, but that doesn’t mean...no, ew, I can’t even say it!”

“Yeah, I think she’ll be glad to have you back too,” he assured me. “And she and Barry will just have to wait until we’ve gotten all of this under control.”

“What do you think of him?” I wondered. “You think he’s a good guy?”

“It’s hard to trust anyone right now,” he admitted. “But yeah, I think that’s about as close to a good guy as you’re going to find in Oakville. If someone had to be taking care of your mom when both of us were...away, I guess it must have been him.”

“I didn’t even think of that,” I murmured, but he was right. It warmed my heart to think of someone being there for my mom. And it would make it easier, down the line, for me to actually move out and find my own place if I was sure there was someone around who would look out for her just the same way I did.

I yawned, clasping a hand over my mouth.

“Oh, sorry,” I murmured. “I don’t know what’s gotten into me. Feels like all I can do is sleep lately.”

“You should get some more rest,” Warren replied. “You’re probably going to need it soon enough.”
