And then she was gone.

It All Happened Suddenly

No sooner had we returned to our palace

than Perses was summoned to the halls

of Hyperion. He was told by the Titans

that the threat from Zeus needed a response.

That it would be his duty to devise

this counterattack. Pallas was told

his role would be to make weaponry

for the Titan Gods who stood against Zeus.

During this time, every Titan God

was to stay at Kronos’s palace

while they created this strategy.

Every Titanide, nymph, and Goddess

was meant to look after the new

brood of Titan children throughout this,

but our movements were limited

in case a surprise attack was launched

onto our homes by these unpredictable

Olympians. A golden cage for golden Gods.

I tried to create harmony

by making a garden of herbs, building my altars,

communicating with my Oracles.

But the prophecies revealed little.

Only the falling of ichor from the skies.

Only the sound of Gods screaming in the night.

The God-King’s Decree

Arise now, oh Titans, let no new God tell us ancients what it is to lead our realms. There may be darkness at our footsteps, but we have the house of Hyperion’s light by our side. There may be a hurricane at our gates, but the house of Oceanus’s Great River stands by us. Rouse your powers, your duty, your honour. May your swords hold true, may your spears find their marks, may Time sing a thousand odes to our courage. Arise, oh sons of Gaia, and protect this earth, its sea and sky that have been ordained only as ours. The wind, the oceans, and all the stars favour us. Victory is ours. Let us take it.
