As long as you don't overdo it.

“Cheers!” We shout it in unison before throwing back the shots.

I grimace, my whole-body shudders with a sharp hiss through our teeth at the same time.

The effects hit almost instantly, every light in the club blooms into stars, actual fucking stars.

That's magic.

My hands drift to my neck before sliding down over my outfit.

I look down at myself.

Damn, I'm sexy.

The fabric beneath my fingertips feels impossibly soft, like I'm petting velvet.

The shots sharpen some senses—touch especially—while blurring others, like my sight, just enough to feel weightless.

“Your outfit is the sexiest out of all of us!” Charlie shouts, poking my bare stomach.

“I know, right?!” I yell back. “I told you, I'm the best at this shit!”

Jules climbs onto the booth's couch and starts dancing to the music.

“That black wrap top with that plunging neckline makes me want to bury my face in your boobs!” Charlie winks.

I burst out laughing and glance down.

“Do it!”

She does, it tickles with her eyelashes, and with the high sensitivity of the shots, causes me to laugh like a kid.

My cropped black wrap top is held together by thin straps crossing over my chest before wrapping several times around my waist, leaving my midriff bare.

I paired it with a low-rise black micro skirt with a subtle flared hem and sheer black thigh-high stockings.

And since that little demon stole my boots, I had to wear my new chunky black platform heels with thick block heels and oversized soles.

They hurt like hell, I don't care.

“What’s this though?” Jules asks, pointing at the Charger charm at my waistband.

“Oh!” I smile softly, turning it over “Evren made it.”

Charlie and Jules, despite the shots, stare at me in pure disbelief.

“We knew he was obsessed with you,” Charlie starts “But this? This is different girl, he is in deep for you.”

I instantly rejected the idea, I recoiled from it.

But my chest tightened and the knot in my stomach became impossible to ignore.

I don’t want to think about it now.

Admitting it means I’m admitting that part of myself—the darker part that can’t fucking live without him being a pain in my ass.

Jules grabs Charlie and me by the hands, dragging us out of the booth and into the middle of the dance floor.
