“But we don’t mind watching, if that’s your thing,” Sloan added with a seductive twinge to her voice.

“Just us… for now,” I told her just before I grabbed Jax’s shirt—if it could even be called that.

She was wearing a fishnet crop top that showed her breasts and tattoos, and I had to admit that the way her boxers were showing really did something to me.

With barely any strength, I pulled her further into the club toward the room I had especially picked out for us. We passed the couples making out and the ones behind the one-way mirrors, fucking each other. They could be a nice starter course, but neither of us really paid attention to them.

My hand was surprisingly steady as I grabbed the electronic key card they’d given me, but just before I opened the door, I gave Jax a last out.

“After this, there's no going back,” I said, keeping my eyes on the door. “We cannot feign ignorance. We cannot just stop everything and walk away and—”

“I couldn’t walk away from you even if I tried,” Jax’s voice was low as she leaned over me. “But I can give you a few minutes to think about it. I won't hold it against you if you decide to call it quits.”

This was my last chance. I had allowed myself to fall so easily. If I wanted to save my life from the mess I was turning it into… Now was the time.

And with the way she said it, I knew she would let me go. Even though I also knew she didn’t want to.

But I deserved this. I deserved her.

Without another ounce of hesitation, I unlocked the door and walked in.

I had chosen a themed room this time. Most of the furniture was draped in some type of black satin, but there were neon lights hanging across the walls. In the middle was a singular chair, next to a small table with one glass and a wine bottle.

It wasn’t something they would always accommodate due to safety concerns, but Sloan was more than happy to help me out. Likely due to feeling bad about what she had kept from me.

I walked toward the chair, swaying my hips the whole time and feeling Jax’s gaze on me right before I heard the door softly shut and she stepped into the room.

We’d made this decision. There would be no holding back anymore.

I slid slowly onto the seat. When she took a step forward, I held my hand up.

A smile tugged at her lips.

“First and foremost, this is punishment,” I said, tilting my head to the side. “Now, tell me why you deserve to be punished.”

“I came without permission.”

I nodded in silence, forcing her to continue.

“I lied to you. Withheld who I was.”

I grabbed the wine bottle, acting like it was the thing I was most interested in. Grabbing the small corkscrew hidden behind it, I went to open it.

“I need to be punished for coveting something I shouldn't have.”

That got my attention. I looked up at her with a raised brow.

“And how long did you… covet?”

“Years.” The word rushed out of her in one breath. Her voice sounded strange, almost like she was pleading.

Years. Hearing it sent a thrill through me. She wants me that badly? The dark voice in my head didn’t want to believe it.

“Then show me,” I said as I popped open the wine. “Show me what years of wanting what you shouldn’t will make you do. Crawl to me, baby girl.”

The thump of her knees against the hard floor had my heart racing.

She got on all fours, slowly gliding across the room with the grace of a cat, looking at me the entire time. One hand forward. Then the other. Heat sprung up in my belly as I watched her degrade herself.
