“You’re welcome,” he says, helping me stand up. “When I drain it, it will be an instant relief.”

“Ew,” I say. “How do you feel knowing that your first encounter with my pussy was a fucking cyst?”

“Honored that you trust me enough to even tell me about it,” he says. “Nothing about the human body is inherently gross or off-putting to me.”

“Ew. Is it going to smell? Do I smell bad?” I ask.

“If it gets infected, probably, but not right now. It’s very red and angry, but I’m surprised it hasn’t burst and drained itself.”

“Gross,” I say, scrunching my face up.

“So I assume you don’t want a mirror to watch?” he teases as he helps me stand.

“Hell fucking no,” I say, and he laughs. “Pass.”

“Let’s get done so we can lie down,” he says, kissing me.

We quickly wash and rinse before getting out and drying off. We get dressed for bed before curling up together. I face him so he can wrap his arms around me, and I can bury my face in his chest.

“Good night, Bodhi,” I mumble.

“Good night, Olivia,” he says, kissing my head.

Chapter Twelve

Olivia

I am so fucking nervous. We got up stupid early to drive here, and now we are sitting in the truck looking at the courthouse. It’s weird being back here, but I feel safe having Bodhi with me. Rhett, Kate, and Luke are with us, too, but I think that was to be expected.

“There they are,” Bodhi says as he opens his door. I see Tim, Marcy, and Jett walking toward us as Bodhi walks around to my door. I carefully get out, and I’m in so much pain today, and I’ll be glad when this thing is finally gone.

“Hey,” Tim says. “You’ve met Olivia. This is her boyfriend, Bodhi Jensen, and a friend and son of the sheriff in Willow Creek.”

“Morning,” he grunts. “Ms. Olivia.”

“Stomp on any kittens lately, Jett?” I ask, and he smiles.

“Just a few puppies,” he says, making me laugh.

“Thank you for this.”

“You’re welcome, Olivia,” he says with a smile. “Bodhi, right?”

“Yep,” he answers. “It’s good to meet you, man.”

“Fuck. Oh fuck. No, no, no,” I say as I start to panic. I see Jason across the lot with another man.

“Shh. It’s okay,” Bodhi says softly.

“Can he even be near her?” Kate asks, rubbing my back.

“Yeah. Jeramy never filed the restraining order,” Marcy says.

“Olivia,” Jason says, and I flinch so hard that Bodhi has to hold me up.

“Mr. Hayes, keep walking,” Tim says.

“No. I want to talk to my wife. This is…”
