I looked at the bartender, smiling sweetly before leaning over. She casually slid a knife over my way and I grabbed it, stabbing the wood right next to his hand. “I will stab this through your dick. Keep your greasy hands to yourself or Crestview will lose one more drunk.”
He grumbled something under his breath and went back to his bottle of beer. I looked at the bartender, and she gave me a shot of whiskey before handing me a whiskey sour. After spending thirty minutes here, I concluded I wouldn’t be going home with anyone and I’d spend the night with my vibrator.
Until she walked in.
She owned the room without saying a word, drenched in tight leather that hugged her body in all the right places. The leather jacket she wore clung to her perfectly, accentuating her curves. The light pink corset top left little to the imagination, making me salivate. Her breasts were full and on the edge of a scandal, but hey, I wouldn’t complain for a better view. The corset top stopped just above her belly button, exposing her stomach beneath. She was real, dripping with confidence, and she wasn’t hiding a damn thing. Fuck, I was no better than a man.
She pulled her jacket off, turning to hang it on the hook. I knew she didn’t have to make a show, but it was like she knew I was watching her. Sweet baby Jesus. Her ass was sensational, and her thong was peeking through. She was walking temptation clad in skin-tight leather, and she was the woman I was taking home tonight.

Tipsy Throttle was one of the lesser-known bars in Crestview, but it was still alive. After the fight club sent me into a spiral, I needed to get laid. The inside was dark, and I loved it. People said nothing beautiful could bloom in the darkness, but they were wrong. Some of the most beautiful things happened in the dark: the twinkle of stars in the night, the glow of fireflies, sex so passionate it could ignite the sky. It just took someone stepping into the shadows to see their beauty.
In the dark, people could blossom. I know I did. In the dark, people could fall in love. I would know. I did that, too. Heartbreak was the same in the light or the dark, but darkness masked the tears while the light showed the smile. Cinder was the one who taught me about taking what I wanted until it came to Vesper and Widow. They were both a fantasy I couldn’t reach because my sister was a controlling cunt—in an I love her, but I was tired of her controlling my life kind of way, not a she sucks kind of way.
Maybe that was why I was eyeing the gorgeous woman from across the bar. The shadows in the dimly lit room made her dark amber skin glow, and her red locs were pinned with gold butterfly clips. She looked at me, and I swore my heart left my body. I saw her the moment I walked in, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t put on a show for her.
There was an older man in her space, probably drunk, who was leaning into her. She looked annoyed with him, but she was trying to be nice. She must know him or he was the regular, nightly drunk.
She stood up, leaning over the bar and eyeing me as she grabbed a shot glass with clear liquid. My eyes fell to her chest. Goddamn, she looked hotter than sin, and her eyes promised heaven as she glanced at me. She was lethally seductive and dripping in bad choices. Bad choices made better memories, and blocked out the shitty ones. My memories could fuck off. I wanted to get lost between thick thighs and fuck me brown eyes.
The older man in her space was getting far too comfortable. She pushed him away, but he insisted on staying close to her. I could see how uncomfortable she was, and who was I to let a woman be in distress? Only my soon-to-be redheaded vixen finally had enough of his shit, and gave him a swift right hook to the jaw followed by a kick to the balls. Holy shit, I think I was in love.
“Bastard,” she said, walking towards me with a panty-melting smile. “He blocked my view of heaven.” God, her Georgia twang was intoxicating.
She walked to me with confidence, like she didn’t just knock some guy unconscious to get to me. It seemed no one cared about the old guy on the ground with blood pouring from his nose as my nameless vixen closed the space between us. Her smile was the kind of smile that needed a warning label and a bucket, because my panties were destroyed.
“Are you always this dramatic?” I purred. A wicked grin spread across my lips that tasted like temptation and lust. Hopefully she read the signs, too.
“Eh, only when someone blocks my view.”
God, how did I politely ask her to rock my world and make me see stars? I wasn’t the type to stumble with my flirting or get tongue-tied, but this woman made me panic. Was this gay panic? I didn’t gay panic with women; I caused the gay panic.
I leaned forward on my elbows, close enough to whisper in her ear as my lips brushed against her skin. “What do you say we get out of here and I show you paradise?”
She grabbed my jaw, pulling my face close to hers so our lips were millimeters apart. “My place is three blocks from here. You got a ride?”
“Let’s go, firecracker. My bike has your name on it.” I went to enemy territory and bagged a baddie. Finally.
I pulled my unnamed vixen towards my bike. She eyed my Ducati, and a slow smirk curved on her lips as she circled my bike. I never realized a woman touching my bike and making fuck me eyes would be such a turn-on, but holy shit, my panties were soaked.
Her fingers ran up the hot pink chrome, her eyes flicking up to meet mine. “Nice ride.” Her eyes dropped to my chest. “I bet she’s nothing compared to her rider.” I felt a blush creep up my neck. Yeah, this was definitely gay panic, and I was swimming in it.
“You’ll just have to find out.”
Before anything else could be said, she swung one leg over my bike, straddling it. I was salivating. This woman was dripping with confidence, and holy hell was she was hot on my bike. I unhooked the spare helmet and handed it to her, watching as she slipped it on. My lips curled into a wicked grin when her hands drug down her chest.
No more foreplay. I needed to get to her place and ravish this woman before I fucked her on the side of the road. I never ate a woman out on my bike, but there was a first time for everything.
“Don’t keep a girl hangin’.” She patted the front of my bike. I knew exactly what she was doing.
I pulled my helmet on before swinging my leg over my bike, sliding my ass against her as I got comfortable. The second I was comfortable, her hands found my waist, a little possessive as her short nails dug into my hip.
“Comfortable?” I asked.
“Mmhmm. I sure do love the view from back here.”
