The snow protested beneath his weight as he followed the tragic trail she’d created as she pathetically tried to escape him.
“You remind me of a slug,” he called out.
“An enchanting slug, I hope,” she mumbled under her labored breathing. She could barely stand her desperate thirst for relief. She was beyond the point where fingers would be a favorable intervention. Touching herself would do nothing but further exacerbate her problem. She was so distraught with arousing hunger that anyone would do. She’d take Belzar up on his offer; she’d even climb to her hands and knees and let a centuries-old vampire rut her into the snow like they were a pair of wild beasts.
Luka smirked when he caught up to his blood pet. He slipped the toe of a leather boot under her and nudged her over until she flopped onto her back like a fish on the riverbank. He watched her breasts heave, rising and falling as her body begged to escape its misery. Blood streaked her neck, and it was all his for the taking.
“P-please,” she whimpered, tears cascading down her cheeks like falling stars from the sky. Luka’s brows quirked when she dug her fingers into the snow and started pulsating her hips, beckoning him to join her. He caught a whiff of her arousal through her leather pants when her legs parted.
Intoxicating, he thought to himself. The show was truly remarkable—something he’d never witnessed before.
“Please, what?” he challenged, his voice escaping him rough and raw.
“P-please… make it stop!” Matilda sputtered.
“Are you not ashamed of yourself? You’re a Helsing… lusting after the very monsters you hunt,” he said with an amused chuckle.
Her head whipped back and forth frantically. “Trust me… it is not by choice. I think I might die.”
“Isn’t that convenient? I can leave you here, and the problem of your existence will resolve itself.” Matilda moaned, and her hands flew to the tie that held her britches together. She couldn’t take it any longer. “Stop!” he barked, watching her hysterical fingers struggle with the knot. He kicked her hands away when she refused to listen. He knew he would devour her if she lay open to him. “You want pleasure, Huntress?” She nodded furiously. “I apologize. I didn’t hear you.”
“Yes!” Matilda shrieked. Her mouth dropped when he placed the point of his boot where her clit was located.
“Take your pleasure beneath my boot like the whore you are.”
Matilda’s eyes crossed, and the back of her head buried in the snow as she massaged her clit against his boot. She couldn’t be bothered with the unpleasantness of her damp curls because the bliss she felt between her legs captivated her attention.
Luka cleared his throat and looked elsewhere—he could barely restrict himself from ripping her apart. His vision settled on something safe—a dove that perched on a nearby branch. He closed his eyes and tried to envision Anastasia, but it was useless. The volume of Matilda’s enticing moans cut through his fantasy like the sharpness of a double-edged blade.
“That’s enough!” he growled, snatching his foot away.
“No! Please, please, please, please, don’t stop!” she beseeched shamelessly.
Luka dropped to his knees, straddling her waist. His fingers curled around her neck, and he squeezed, rendering her unconscious in a matter of seconds.
“Thank the gods. No more begging.”
He was relieved because he knew he would’ve shamelessly relented if she pressed him even a little harder.
“King Alesi! I’ve found you!”
He rolled his eyes as Ezra approached.
“I was never lost.”
“I see you’ve caught the dreadful wench who attempted to end our lives,” his senior advisor spat. Luka didn’t reply as he stood, bringing Matilda with him. Truth be told, it was she who had caught him. “My King, what will you do with her? Will you try her in the courts for attempting to murder you?”
“Nay,” Luka replied, flinging Matilda’s limp body over his shoulder.
“I agree with your decision. She does not deserve a trial, only swift retribution.”
“There will be no retribution,” Luka commented as he journeyed toward the winding road.
“I apologize. I do not follow.”
“She has information that I need.”
“Such as?” Ezra asked dubiously, trailing behind.
