My dick’s twitching in my pants with every second of resistance from my sister.

I love it. The struggle. All the sweet denial. It’s fake after all, her body doesn’t lie.

It warms up to my touch.

I’m so freaking tempted to test her, to check whether she’d let me slide my fingers inside her while we’re eating dinner, the risk of getting caught any moment sending a rush of adrenaline through me.

But my father’s talking, and I don’t want to get smacked.

“I want to talk about the future of you two moving forward.”

Yada, yada, okay. I’m being a decent son and half-listening to him while innocently stroking Madelyn’s leg under the table. The best part is she can’t move.

She can’t storm away—or they’ll know.

We’ve got enough to deal with a sex tape starring both of us. Even if our parents think it’s only me on it, if they’d examine it thoroughly, it wouldn’t be difficult to put two and two together.

“First, Madelyn. You’ll be taking the semester off and using that time to apply to a different college starting next semester. As discussed, you’ll stay home in the meantime.”

My jaw tenses, and my hand stops its stroking, cemented on Maddy’s knee.

As discussed? What the fuck have they been talking about behind my back?

I didn’t get a say in my fate. Why did she?

“Yes, sir,” the little demon says without an ounce of humor.

“It’ll be truly the best for you, baby,” Miranda says.

The two exchange a nod of agreement.

“As for you”—my father picks up a knife and points it at me—“I’ll make it brief so the food doesn’t get cold. Kayden, you’re going to go somewhere that’ll fix that behavior of yours for a year. Man up, and then we’ll think about your future again.”

I scoff. “The fuck? I’m getting sent where?”

“The military,” Maddy volunteers. Oh, she’s enjoying this, the little shit.

“You’re kidding me?”

“Nope. Your father just said it. They’ll fix your attitude there, big brother.”

She’s good at keeping a neutral face, but I can see the lines of her lips curving up. She’s smiling inside.

“Fuck, no.”

“I’m not asking for your opinion, son,” my father says. “You’re leaving for North Carolina next week.”

I stand up, my whole body emerging with rage. “North Carolina?”

“Yes,” Miranda says. “We thought a change of scenery would do you good. It’d allow you a bit more independence for the family.” She says it as if they’re doing me a favor by sending me away. And I bet she thinks she is after the talk we had before.

They might as well have told me I’m being sent to the North Pole.

“I’m not going.”

“Oh, yes, you are.” My father’s voice is strong and demanding. “It’s a done deal, Kayden. The arrangements have been made. Now, sit back and let’s have a proper meal.”
