“I’ll scream.”
A cackle gargles up my throat. “Please, do. Everyone’s waiting to hear how good a time you’re having.”
“You’re such a jerk.” Maddy whimpers. “I can’t talk to you.” She pushes me away.
I’m so deep in my thoughts that I let it get to me, stumbling back.
She takes advantage of that moment to swing the door open and run away.
Slipping through my fingers again.
With the door tilted open, I watch helpless as she blurts out, “change of plans” to that asshole Cal, and drags him up to the second floor to do God knows what.

MADDY
My heart’s drumming inside my chest.
I’m so pissed at Kayden. Who does he think he is? Playing with my heart like this?
And now he…
God. Did he really try to convince me to suck him off?
“I’m going to go on a limb and guess that the seven minutes in heaven didn’t pay off,” Cal says.
They’re the first words he’s spoken to me since I dragged him to a random room on the second floor of the wannabe frat house.
He closes the door behind us. The room is the epitome of romance. A bed, a nightstand, and a big window behind a standard bed. Cue the sarcasm.
“W-what?” I attempt to regain focus.
My mind’s still stuck on Kayden’s behavior. He’s such a jerk.
“In the bathroom. With Kayden.”
I wince. “Of course not. Yikes. He’s my stepbrother, remember?”
And I almost saw his cock. And my thighs radiate a warmth that goes all the way down to my core.
The thoughts that ran through my mind during that moment are even sicker. I can’t even begin to fathom them.
I’m sick for wanting him. He’s a psychopath who enjoys messing with me in the most unexpected moments. Trying to get me to trust him and break my walls down, only to play a number on me.
“Forget Kayden.” I draw myself closer to Cal, pulling at his shirt. “I’m here with you, isn’t that what matters?”
He wraps his arms around my hips and brings his lips to mine.
“Yeah,” he says in a breathy moan.
His bulge is pressing against my thigh. I should be getting in the mood, too. I should be enjoying myself and forgetting about Kayden. Cal’s giving me the perfect excuse.
But my stupid brain won’t stop thinking about him.
The way he pushed my head down and forced me to stay firm there. The way I almost lost control of myself, desperate to taste him. Why does thinking about those things make me wet?
Cal’s lips are on mine again, and I close my eyes and try to let those thoughts go.
